Title: Need help with a italian seller UPDATE MARMIES ARRIVED!!
Post by: tornadoe on January 14, 2019, 10:15:27 AM
I had found a way to ship marmie to me and all seemed well. I waited and waited until I got comfermation that ahs had been shipped and as soon as I was home, I carefully poened the box...

With baited breath I rummaged in the box, found a zhu nose and pulled out...

peanut.

That****** seller had sent the wrong one and I strongly suspect it was done deliberatly.

To say I'm gutted is an understatement BUT there is a ray of sunshine. I won greenbean and friday last week and they arrived today!.

12th of April
I found a lovely italian online store. The owner was wonderfull and not only did I get marmie but I got baboose as well!!
They where tracked all the way and I am very happy.

Hopefully an Italian member will be able to help you with the shipping . If they will not ship to you then they probably wouldn't ship to me either as I'm in the UK.
If it was just a matter of translating/writing to the seller I could have helped though -  I am learning Italian :)  :awake:

Maybe your browser has a translation option? It worked for me in dutch. It should be written somewhere if they won't ship to certain countries.

You can take sections and copy and paste text in portions at https://translate.google.com

"No Seller Currently Ships This Product To <Your Country> - More Info"

the more info leads to a big table of shipping zones/postage rates, but it also says

"Third party vendors of the Amazon.co.uk Marketplace may also have additional shipping restrictions. If you see during the order process that the item you wish to purchase can not be shipped to your country, it is likely that your seller will only provide domestic deliveries. In this case, we recommend trying with another seller."

So yes you likely need an Italian to domestically receive the package and re-ship to you...

Thanks. I thought it would be that.

Explains why my emails to the seller have been ignored.

Unless the seller has a particular bias against the UK (which I wouldn't blame them xD), it seems like they don't ship within Europe, so you probably should change your thread title back. You'll need someone in Italy :/

Why do you not investigate a reshipping agent? One that has offices worldwide. Then your seller can ship locally and be happy.

I tried. They refuse to ship to me.

Taffeta...What's wrong with shipping to the uk. What have we done to be treated like this?

Taffeta...What's wrong with shipping to the uk. What have we done to be treated like this?

I meant because of the impending doubts about the UK custom arrangements with the EU and the fact sellers might be waiting to see what the outcome is rather than promising something that will cost them more to deliver. We won't know our situation till end March at this rate, so I could understand sellers being cautious. I was speaking as a UK person :)

But a lot of sellers do only ship to their own country. I have this issue with Japanese stuff a lot. I swear, when I was in Japan, I bought so much stuff (mostly study related books) because I finally had a Japanese address to ship to - but then I had to get them all home :/
