...Sup, y'all. :cool:
I saw others doing this so... Even though it wasn't too long ago that I introduced myself...
This is a NEW arena~ ... And I've changed a bit since I first popped in. ^_^
So, sup all. Little girl at heart here, who grew up with G2's, and the old My Little Pony movie on VHS, along with other 80's glory that was before my time. I gave away all my ponies about 10 years ago, though.
It was Monster High that somehow drug me back in.... I made custom dolls, I realized that I had the skills to try those custom ponies I'd seen on the vast interwebs, so I went out thrift shopping, and brought home boxes of bait.
I'm not much a pony collector. More like ponies are my canvas... But they're creeeeping into my heart...
G1's are slowly taking over, and I'm building up a list of ponies I want to bring home. <3
(My Surprise needs to have more pegasus friends.)
FiM has also had a great deal to do with it. I never understood the hype until after I started doing customs, and tried watching it... Holy cuteness and good writing.
Sooo yes... I'm sorta one of those folks that feel that if a pony is all grungy, with icky hair, the bait box is the only option. But each pony has a chance to live a new life, perhaps the life it was always meant to have. :3
But I do love G1 restoration, aswell as G1 and G3 customs.
My G1 standards are kinda high though... Like, the hair MUST be rerooted, if it isn't either super silky smooth, or curly to hide any tangles. Even a little dryness makes me a sad panda, which is why a lot of my ponies are sitting without manes on my shelf, waiting for me to get my arse around to rooting them.
Anywho, MLP Arena is such a sweet community, and I hope to have many more fantastic times in the new arena. <3
And I love you all, and look forward to getting to know more of you now that i'm more active.

Welcome to the new site! I'm sure you will enjoy checking it out. I hear you on the G1 pony hair, btw. I won't buy a G1 unless it's hair is pristine :)

Welcome to the New Arena!! Restoration is really rewarding, have you tried super conditioning treatments? I've worked on a pony with the worst hair for a couple weeks with lots of conditioner and a flat iron and finally gotten her hair smooth again :) You should check it out, it's pretty easy (if time consuming)

Welcome to the New Arena!! Restoration is really rewarding, have you tried super conditioning treatments? I've worked on a pony with the worst hair for a couple weeks with lots of conditioner and a flat iron and finally gotten her hair smooth again :) You should check it out, it's pretty easy (if time consuming)
Ooooh, I have been considering trying out some really heavy duty conditioning. My Surprise still has her original mane, and I'm not sure I feel up to rerooting it. Sugar Apple also needs some serious TLC. :3
