I am trying to salvage the dark pink off a glitter pinkie pie. But after I knot it and dip it in glue it just comes undone. I am bout to wash the hair in hopes of drying it out a bit, but is there anything else I can do to get the knot to hold?

Maybe put a zip tie or twist tie around it?

It is the little mane hair plugs :(

I've had this problem before (I think I get what you mean anyway) and the way I've had luck with getting the knot to stay put is soak the little bugger in mod podge and glue it down on an old magazine, fruit snacks box, or something and leave it stuck there till its dry. Seems like if I have it glued to something securely (like seriously soak the knot and the end that isn't going to show in glue/mod podge) it seems to hold better. I hope you can get it worked out, things like this can be so frustrating.

Oh, sorry...I misunderstood the problem you were having. I don't re-use hair and I use a re-hairing tool, but I know that people who do, use the method TwistedRiver is describing. I would definitely try that. And don't brush the mod podge on...pour out a little puddle in the cap and dunk the knotted end in. I do this for tails and it works nicely. Good luck! :)

You could also try superglue - in theory it would dry before the knot has time to come undone :)

Maybe try hot glue?

Superglue should take care of that problem nicely.

I agree on superglue. It works very well.

Thanks guys. I will try super glue.. I am a little worried I might get it on the pony head; so I'm going to buy a new one. My current one is all gunky on the top. Plus i think it is a "slower" version will get the super quick 3 seconds instead of 6 seconds
