Okay, so I'm wanting to customize a G3.
Sadly, I'm running into a problem with the glue. There's a large chunk of glue in the head that is literally rock hard.
I've tried:
-Sticking it in boiling water
-Scraping it with an X-acto
-Scraping and poking with a screw driver
-Pressing on the head in the hopes of 'popping' the glue off. This worked for parts, but not the giant wad.
Soo, is there ANY way to get rid of it? Or am I doomed?

I've poured acetone in the head and let it soak before with a G3 that had some stubborn glue, it should loosen it up (and make it sticky) and then I usually can pull it out with a pliers
-
Cool! I'll try that and post if it works.

just don't let it soak for more than a couple minutes, acetone can eat the plastic if left for too long

I hate the glue in G3's.. What I normally do is wash them in hot water, and while its still soft from being so warm I use scissors, put them inside the head and push them under the glue then use the scissors as leverage to pop the roots out with the glue still attached

Okay, the acetone in the head worked. I had to do it in layers when I chipped off the top layer of glue. So it took acetone and lots of chipping with the screwdriver.
Thanks guys!

no problem :3 glad it worked!

Yay! I often resort to putting the head on carpet and stepping on it XD

OMG CSA, I was about to do that this time around. It was insane. But she's clear now. WOOT.
