With the Halloween custom swap in full swing, and the weather finally turning colder, I'm totally in the mood for autumn. What about you? :leaves:
Show me your autumn/Halloween themed ponies, please! Any style, any generation, any skill level... I'd love to see some apples, pumpkins, autumn leaves, scarves, steaming tea cups, witches, cats, candy corn, bats - you name it! :blackcat:

Oh sure, I wouldn't dream of asking anyone to reveal their swap ponies ahead of time! But it's the season and I was looking for some autumn inspiration from custom ponies, I know people have made plenty. I used to love these show me threads back when the Customs forum was more active!

Autumn Spell has really neat sculpting and I love her colors! The cobweb is a nice touch. ^.^
I'm hoping I'll run into hairless autumn-ish ponies to give some rehairs. Customs aren't really my thing, but I love alt rehairs to death.

Thank you, tailrustedtealeaf! ^.^ Autumny rehairs would be great too! I remember a beautiful Gusty rehair with auburn hair, made by Salli maybe? It was quite a few years ago though.

October Nights is amazing! How'd you get the gradient on the sky? She reminds me of the halloween breyers. Love August Reverie and Baby Owl Feather too. Wonderful job.

Thank you! I'm glad you asked, that was my first attempt at gradients and dry brushing and since then I fell in love with the technique! I basically just keep dabbing the paint on with a soft brush, blending the colours as I go. For softer gradients and small areas (like the glow around the moon) I use a dry brush, taking only a small amount of paint, applying it to the center of the area I'm working on, then keep moving the brush around in a circular motion. I don't have an airbrush so any gradients you see on my ponies are done with regular brushes, including the leg and muzzle gradients on Autumn Spell and Apple. The result is not as perfect as with an airbrush of course, but I love some texture on my paintjobs. ^.^

BC, I love your raven tree pony! I remember her and the last one well but had forgot about the owl pony. The symbol and her wings are gorgeous!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, I remember seeing so many of them back in the day! Those were some of the most beautiful customs ever, IMHO. G3 make the prettiest ones anyway!

So thrilled that this girl lives in my herd! Can't wait to have a proper shelf to display customs someday. :)
I will always have a special fondness for Halloween customs... I believe it was back in 2006 that I first discovered the world of custom G3s and I ended up amassing ((begging mom xD)) for some Halloween ones. :3
These photos are NOT mine, they're the only ones I still have from the original ebay listings since my old computer did a fart and died.
I do own the ponies. If anyone could help me ID the creators I would LOVE to know! The actual ponies are packed at the moment so if there are any signatures I can't see them.

All I can remember is that this pony was named Onyx. Her display needs a bit of repair after all these years... I hope the light up tree will still work with fresh batteries.

I THINK this one was named Spooky in the listing? I can remember there was another one for sale that had a unicorn horn instead of two horns.
I don't have any photos but I also own the custom Trick or Treat by Sevenbelles... their site vanished into the ether like a decade ago along with all the beautiful photos of customs. :cry: I don't know if there are any archives of old customizer's sites... I miss browsing Sevenbelles and Lady Minty's work! At least aikarin's website still exists for looking at the gallery. (((if it's common knowledge where these talented people are now, I'm just not aware... I think they just moved on to other things?)))

I love Halloween ponies so much!! Aaaa!! I have a couple in mind for this year, but I haven't finished them yet - barely even started! So uh, wish me luck? ;)
But for now, here's who I HAVE finished! First off, I did an 'Autumnal' version of ElfPony's persona, I was super excited with how she turned out! She's a gorgeous persona to begin with, and I got a beautiful owl custom in trade, who I still adore! this is from - 2011?! Holy cow! :yikes:

Here's a tiny blind bag custom I did this year. Hair is apoxie sculpt, paint is acrylic. Her name is Sabbath Battical because I thought I needed a reminder to myself to slow down and enjoy the holidays.
