So happy, I got my first German Nirvana! I scored this German Starshine in a bulk lot on eBay, which actually had a few less common ponies in it. I got the whole lot of them for a bargain price, which I would happily have paid just for her alone. All of the ponies did however need a bit of TLC. SPA TIME! ;)

Starshine does have a few issues, but they're minor. A forelock trim, unfortunately. A few small spots and a faint green mark on her NDS, and she is very slightly discoloured. I'm thinking it might be time to try hydrogen peroxide sun soak I've read so much about!
SHE'S SO BEAUTIFUL! I can't stop looking at her :biggrin: In the last few weeks I've had an amazing run on German G1s, including getting a Raindrop and Nightlight. They're still in the post though, so when they come I'm just dying to put them all together :biggrin:

I personally don't mind flaws like that cut forelock. I'd never rehair a pony like this, I leave them as they are. I think it makes them even cuter and more unique. Every pony has a story to tell!

she's one of my favorites, I got her a few months ago and I'm still excited whenever I see her. I'm so glad you've been able to add her to your herd! she's so striking.

Thanks all :) She makes me happy just looking at her! Today my German Raindrop and Skydancer finally arrived, and according to the tracking number my Nightlight will be delivered tomorrow (hopefully). Soon I'll be able to post a pic of them all together, one big happy family! ^.^

Patience and care! I washed her mane and tail with shampoo to clean it, rinsed it out, then applied liberal amounts of conditioner. Then starting at the ends and working my way towards the pony's body I used a medium-tooth comb and slowly brushed all the snarls and knots out. The conditioner makes it much easier to de-tangle a mane, and protects it from accidental snapping of the hair fibres. You can't rush it and you have to be gentle because you don't want to break or rip out the hair strands. Rinse all of the product out and reassess - if the hair is silky and smooth you can set/style it and allow it to dry naturally. If it's still frizzy after all of the knots have been removed you can use a hair straightener on a LOW setting and smooth the hair in small sections whilst it's still wet. That takes the frizz out of it and resets it at the factory-look silky shiny feel. Slightly more labour intensive but absolutely worth it to rejuvenate damaged hair!
