Has anyone bought the box set of Glitter Styles seaponies from Amazon? It contains Applejack, who was never released individually, and I was wondering if it's legit.
The listing shows a stock photo of the main six as the correct toys, but also lists them as 3" tall - that's the standard brushable size, not the Glitter Style size. One review confirms that they are indeed the larger figures, but I'm still iffy.
I'd also like to know how they're packaged inside the box, whether they have their own boxes or are all in together. I'd love to have Applejack MIB to go with the rest of the set, but it seems this giant box set is the only way to get her (probably loose) since G4 is ending soon and seaponies are no longer the focus.

Compleeetely forgot about this set. I have to cash in my change at work and I usually get an Amazon Card, so I'll take the plunge and make a video review sometime soon. (Would be a wonderful jumpstart to my Youtube...right now it's just pony memes).

I haven't bought it myself, but it should be legit. It's sold by Amazon themselves, not a third party seller. Some listings of pony toys on Amazon tend to have inaccurate information that they just seem to stick on nearly all of the pony toys regardless of if they actually apply, might be where the "3 inches" part comes from.

I might buy a set myself in the next few weeks. Seems the consensus is they're legit and probably the only way to get an Applejack. Maybe I'll be able to sell the doubles and just keep AJ.

And why couldn't Hasbro have released an FS merpony set with Haven Bay, Novo, Skystar and Salinas Blue instead of the Mane Suxx again?

Thanks for the review. I guess Hasbro decided since Applejack and Pinkie are both Earth ponies that they would just use the Pinkie Pie mold for Applejack?
And why couldn't Hasbro have released an FS merpony set with Haven Bay, Novo, Skystar and Salinas Blue instead of the Mane Suxx again?
I bet a set with the new sea pony characters would have sold well. It still puzzles me that Novo's only release was with an expensive playset. Hasbro really missed an opportunity.

I would have loved that!! If they HAD to, they could've just left the individual releases to the mane 6 so people can pick their favorites, and then have a merpony set with the movie characters, or even Silverstream!

They likely never initially planned on releasing her in this type of figure... which would explain why they didn't just duplicate the molds for RD and FS since they are both Pegasus ponies.

I think I will have to buy the set, just for AJ because she doesn't get enough love from Hasbro. I'm glad to see they're at least sealed in bags so I can keep her mint on display with the rest.

I think they're basically all the same body mold and the legs and tails are attached separately. Like Twilight and Rainbow Dash have almost the same leg pattern, but they angled one of the legs differently. I guess they just ran out of combos and had to repeat one for Pinkie / Applejack.

I'm still keen to purchase the set but haven't been able to justify it because I'd only be buying it for Applejack and Amazon keeps jacking up the price. I'm also on a spending break this month but almost broke it when they dropped to $70 AUD... but literally later that day they jumped to $90 AUD and have gone up again to almost $100.
Sorry this is a random post, just felt like venting lol. Wish I could buy just AJ! >_<

Same here. :( I already bought the individual releases of all the other characters... I really wish AJ had been sold separately in some form, because I can’t justify the price of that set just for one pony. :/ ...Even though the 6” Sea Ponies have been one of my favorite lines from G4. T_T

Hmm, now that you mention it I found the fine print, it is from a 3rd party store. But believe me, Amazon Aus prices can be just as ridiculous so I didn't even question it at first lol.
It's strange though, because the listing was originally shipped and sold by Amazon from their US location... So if they still have them in stock on the US site why not still have them available on the AUS site?
