I recently heard that it's impossible to put new batteries in any of the G2 light up ponies. I figured that SOMEONE out there must have found a way, so if anyone has successfully done it, I would love to hear how, especially if you have pictures!

This isn't a helpful comment, buuuuttt....
If someone has done it for one it could be possible for all, so my lil couple could say "i love you" once more.... that's be cute :lovey:
On a side note, I won a G2 that said no longer worked, and it did!!!! I was well chuffed

No unfortunately the batteries cannot be replaced :( They are one of those toys with a hidden compartment which is not accessible in order to change the batteries. Even the packaging, if I remember correctly, stated that the batteries were irreplaceable.

What I'm really wondering though is if someone forced it open and remade it to be replaceable maybe?

Not that I have ever heard of or seen of to be honest. In order to get to the compartment you would need to destroy part of the pony. I would guess that has prevented very many attempts at it.

Hmm, if I ever get one of these ponies, I might make an attempt to cleanly open the compartment and find a way to replace the batteries then.
