Title: Carroll Spinney has passed away- Big Bird and Oscar
Post by: Gator on December 08, 2019, 11:37:15 AM: Carroll Spinney, muppet performer and voice for characters Big Bird and Oscar, has passed away.
Big Bird was a big part of my childhood. I loved the film Follow That Bird, and the specials Big Bird goes to China and Japan. I still get the song "we're off to Kyoto, like Dorothy and Toto" stuck in my head from time to time. And I loved when he sang at Jim Henson's funeral.

I used to love "Don't Eat the Pictures" and remember watching Big Bird Goes to Japan and Big Bird Goes to China on Disney Channel. I still remember Big Bird wondering why everyone was saying "Ohio" in Japan. (They were really saying "Ohayo")
