Title: Where do you find a 'concerned fakie'?
Post by: Haruna on September 11, 2015, 07:24:38 PM
I've been wondering how to find a G4 'concerned fakie.' I think the expression on her face is extremely funny and cute. Is there somewhere other than Ebay that they pop up? Where should I be looking? I found one completed auction if you want to see what I'm talking about:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/My-Little-Pony-brushable-blue-Concerned-Pony-fakie-G4-Friendship-is-Magic-2014-/391210235979?hash=item5b15f2784b&nma=true&si=aDg3aeuAcHzmHEI%252BE2SkmuD%252FDtE%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Thank you guys for your help!

I'm thinking Taobao would be the only other place to find them.

But... that price!

Are these getting hard to find now?  Does anyone know?  I got the whole set of those ponies for like $15 just a few months ago.

Nah they're not remotely hard to find. I just had the luck of two or more bidders who didn't know any better and/or wanted to reward me for the beautiful picture (http://41.media.tumblr.com/210329062b90732add20d5f2ce1ff169/tumblr_ns8ylxicU71s7gye0o1_1280.png) I drew to advertise the auction. ;P

That makes sense! Although I don't see as many listings for them on eBay as I used to.

Funny the body and head remind me totally of G3.5 but the face is all G4.

I have the 'Applejack' style one - I don't collect fakies but I couldn't resist that wibbly face!  I got her on ebay, she was listed as a g4 baby, and was really cheap.

Still I wonder who makes them.  I mean... Who goes to the trouble to make a special eye-stamp and a special open-mouth head mold?  I doubt not a regular fakie maker, because they're just targeting little girls and would go with something that matches Hasbro releases....   I think there's more to the story!  Intrigue!!

These are so cute!  I have the first set with the blue and orange concerned ones.  I want to make one into an Applejack and the other one into a Bright Eyes.  I'd love to get my hands on the other set too.

I also have been wanting these! Hopefully some auctions will stick around for them to be on my Christmas list.

Okay, WHERE did you get that first photo!? Because I was following the listing that had that specific set (with the magenta unicorn + dresses), and the seller pulled the listing like a week later!! I really wanted that set! :P Is it for sale somewhere else? EDIT: nevermind, I just found it! Ouch, price jumped while it was gone ... but I NEEDSES IT!

Also, WOO it's so cool to see lots of people wanting their own concerned fakie! (I run the Concerned Pony blog, if you know of it!) I usually suggest that people search on eBay for "My Little Pony 6pcs", and you'll usually find them in there! It takes a lot of scrolling through unrelated lots, unfortunately. :P

They are perhaps the most unique fakies of this line so far...concerned fakie is concerned but she is also taking over the pony world :)

This is definitely one of the most unique fakies. Hope you can find one soon. :)

The whole lot of six is under $10 with free shipping. I've given up keeping track of who's interested but I can send links to people who PM me.

The second set, that I divided across three images, actually has somewhat smaller body sizes, and they seem harder to find these days (though there was a while where they were really common). (Never mind, found a bunch of listings for them too.)

Wow those are pretty different! I wonder why they choose that mold? I didn't think fakies usually had special poses and faces like that. Thought it was usually just the coloring.

I'll ask my sister if I can have it shipped to her, but I might just try to find the one fakie elsewhere. :/

Do you mean the seller Thanksgivingheart or someone else?  I bought a set of fakies including Concerned Fakie off eBay and they shipped them last week.  (I also live in Washington state.)

Thanks for starting this thread!  It inspired me to buy Concerned Fakie and her friends and they arrived today!  (Very fast shipping considering they were sent by the cheapest method.)

They're so weird and funny, yet--strangely ambitious for fakies?  Those eyes, though.  Those crazy eyes.

Search "Horse" on Aliexpress and narrow it down to the toys category. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip! I've always been a little nervous of Aliexpress after hearing horror stories about them from like 5 years back - has their buyer protection improved at all? :P

LOL, very first result is something I bought on eBay, but for half the price. Dangit!!

They have substantially improved their buyer protection, actually. :o
Just be sure to have a good look at all the sellers with the same item and choose one who has had consistent good feedback. :)
