Title: Vtg Puppy in my Pocket collectors - help?
Post by: Sora on September 11, 2019, 06:41:48 AM
I'm currently sorting out my garage, and found my old stash of Puppy in my Pocket! I also found these: a plush doggy with a pink bag (fits into the bag, and the bag can be put back into the pup's back), a doll and a set of mini books. I've also got an ornament somewhere, but I haven't found it yet.

Does anyone know if there would be any interest in them, or a place to ask? Rough price range, etc.?

I collect Kitty in my Pocket, so I don't know so much about the Puppies, but 90sinmypocket.com is usually my go-to for ID purposes.

It seems the doll was only available as a competition prize, so it's probably pretty rare but whether that means it's sought after I don't know. The soft puppies also seem to have been competition prizes but might have been available in shops too. There's one on eBay for $5 that seems to have been there a long time so probably not a great deal of interest.
Maybe try asking on the Ghost of the Doll forum to see if anyone is interested in them? There's a few Puppy in my Pocket groups on Facebook but they're not very active.

There's an In My Pocket forum run by the same person who made the ID site linked above - http://vintageinmypocket.proboards.com/

It's not super active, but it seems like a few of the serious collectors check for sales regularly. You've got some cool stuff that I think is harder to find and that someone there would probably be interested in!

Those two links are EXACTLY the type of sites I was looking for, thank you both! :D

I've found more Pocket items since then, so I'll join the forum a bit later and see if there's any interest. Thanks again!
