Title: Calling Bratz experts - can you identify my Bratz Kidz(ish) dolly?
Post by: Loona on October 24, 2017, 12:50:52 PM
Hi there,

I have recently picked up this doll on a flea market:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Her body and body markings are identical to those of a regular Bratz Kidz doll, but the face-up is a different style, and I highly prefer this one to the regular Bratz style (I always liked the Bratz Kidz body proportions a lot, and I have about 2-3 Kidz, but I never managed to warm up to their faces, so in the end they always just sat packed away in boxes). I'd like to know more about her, as well as about whether there are any other versions out there with this type of face-up, because I'd love to collect a few more, but I didn't manage to find out anything about her - I have only come across 2 pictures of dolls with this type of face-up online (one with brown hair, and another blondie with a side-part, so I assume the latter was also different from mine), both belonging to online auctions which did not specify anything other than that this is supposed to be a Bratz Kidz doll.
Can someone who is more familiar with the line help me out with this mystery?

Thank you! :)

It's a 4 Ever Kidz. Basically when MGA was in danger of losing the Bratz they spun the Kidz off into their own line.

And she is - thanks a lot Wardah! :frolic:

I haven't even heard about this spin-off line before... it would be interesting to find out more about them... based on a quick Google search it seems there haven't been a lot of dolls included in it, and also, not all of them came with this style of face. There are some sets that seem to have regular Bratz Kidz-style eyes and face-up, and what is more strange, there are some dolls that seem to have been available both ways (like the mermaid doll(s?)) Very strange.
Also, based on the search it seems my girl is not wearing her original clothing - all the 4 Ever Kidz I found in box pictures of seem to have come with plastic cothing.
