Title: Need advice, hope it won't mess up
Post by: xelli on November 19, 2012, 11:28:05 AM
Thanks to my hastiness I'm in a strange situation now.
I bid on (and won) a beautiful G2 MOC Nightshine on ebay for a very nice price from a Belgian seller but:
I found it on Belgian ebay and asked the seller about the worldwide shipping (if it's possible and the costs) but received no reply till the end of the auction, still I decided to bid anyway. I know hasty and risky but I wanted the pony so badly... and I thought to myself since it's a seller with more than 2000 positives and since we're both in Europe than the shipping wouldn't be a problem. I asked for the full price through ebay and after two days there's still no response. I'm worried because the seller has a 'pay in 7 days' policy and maybe they decide not to answer and then leave a negative or open a claim or charge me a super high shipping quote (I know pessimistic thinking).
I don't want to be a bother to the seller and I want to solve the situation in a polite way. Should I message them once more? Maybe in French/Dutch/Flemish? (I wrote in English cause I don't know these languages)
Should I look for someone really nice from Belgium here to receive it locally for me and then resend? Or is it just ebay having some glitches in the messaging?
All types of advices are welcome.

I would try not to worry yet xelli   I've been to Belgium many times and most of the people speak English very well, so I dont think the language will be a problem. It could be that the seller was busy over the weekend so not online much, or has been trying to find out a price for shipping to you. They will probably reply to you soon.  I think that if the seller was around and wanted to cancel the transaction then they would have let you know by now. It wouldnt hurt to message them again though, just incase the message didnt go through the first time :awake: .
Dont worry about your own feedback - sellers cant leave bad feedback for buyers anymore ;)

Thanks Ringlets and you're right I just worry too much
I contacted the seller once again and they replied giving me the quote and all the numbers for the international money transfer - and now I see what took them some time - there's quite a lot to fill in if you're paying through the bank not through paypal
Anyway we can mark the 'case' as solved ;)
And I have to remember not to be so hasty next time :)

I am glad it all worked out for you xelli!  It's hard to be patient sometimes, especially when it is something we want.  I think we have all been there one time or another.  :)
