As the title says my dad wants this Apple MacBook (he’s getting rid of his laptop) and he is wondering if you can use a mouse with the MacBook (he’s keeping the mouse from his laptop)
-
Depends on the mouse, but it looks like it should work.
-
Is it a new macbook?
Using an old mouse:
Yes and no.
The macbook only has 1 USB C port.
If the mouse is wired (USB A), you will need a dongle for a conversion. :P Only one spot for that dongle to go into to... the USB C port needed for charging.
And some off brand dongles w multiple ports I hear thwart the charge... sooo.. I dunno.
This is a product that pushes wireless technologies.
Do you need a mouse, like the topic says. No. It has a trackpad

It’s a pre loved on from CEX. I’ll post the picture of the mouse soon.

Picture of the mouse doesn't matter.
model of the computer matters. By new -- I meant the newer model. The whole USB C issue has been going on for over a year.

It’s the order version Apple MackBook Pro 7

Well, first, the macbook pro is not the same as a macbook.
I wouldn't really recommend a macbook pro to someone who is not using it for something beyond casual computer use. The macbook line and macbook air are cheaper-- and do just as well.
I'm sorry I don't know what a macbook 7 is... I'm used to people using terms like "mid2014" to discuss their models. :/
Since I don't know what computer it is-- if it comes with a USB port, it's fine.
Is it this one:
a 13inch 2010?
https://support.apple.com/kb/SP583?locale=en_US
That's the only one I see that is "7", found on this support page
https://support.apple.com/en-jo/HT201300
It has 2 USBs..

My dad decided that he doesn’t want one now because he has windows 10 pro on his laptop now.
