Title: Reissue Skydancer a darker yellow?

I purchased a reissue Skydancer almost 3 weeks ago, haven't opened her yet. It's looking like she might be a darker yellow than the original, but I don't own an original so I can't be sure. What do people think?

Yes she is a slighter darker yellow than the original.
Parasol is a lighter pink .

Thank you for the confirmation. Do you think it's big enough a difference to grouse at Hasbro and BigFun over?

Probably not if you are happy they reissued them in the first place

yup most if not all of the reissues have this, confetti in particular is a very stark white even compared to the whitest white G1s around now :P and some other minor variations with symbol/eye colour

i don't think it's worth a complaint, for many it's their first chance to buy these ponies (new or otherwise)

No. Definitely not.

I like that the Basic Fun ponies are brighter/darker than the original ones as it makes it easier to tell them apart from their G1 counterparts. :)

I also like that there are some slight differences. The pink for Snuzzle and Bow Tie's hair is really pretty, and it makes them distinctive. Like old ponies, but new ponies, for a new generation.

The only thing I might change is the colour of glitter on Flutterbye's symbol. I don't think it stands out as much as it could...

My opinion on that is, that Basic Fun doesn't have a time machine, so I don't expect them to get everything just right. Furthermore, being brand new who knows how these ponies will age? Especially the Scented and Unscented ones. It was super awesome of them to correct that.

Yeah, same.  Honestly I'm just happy to have high quality G1 ponies in stores.  Their hair is sooo nice.  <3

From my perspective, the opportunity to have the missed out ponies sold here is too good to complain about it.

I mean, there isn't a prior Tickle, Trickles, etc in the UK, so this is essentially the benchmark.

Also, the 2nd set rainbows (the originals) age really badly. Having pristine new versions available allows those of us who didn't grow up with them the sense of how pretty they must have been on shelves when new.

I'm quite sad that our loose original Tickle is in such poor shape. The retro has inspired me to, eventually, try and get a really nice original one without the rusting symbol or discolouration problems...

What? Why... They aren't going to be perfect replicas. If you want the original, buy the original...

Agreed, should be helpful when shopping secondary market (i.e. easier to tell if an ebay seller is trying to pass off a repro as an original)

I prefer that they are not identical myself, for the reasons mentioned by BuckinghamAlice. eBay sellers do not always show photos of underneath the hooves. Man I wish we had more over here...
