Since I've come up short with selling G4's I've started customizing them. Ducks and flicks the fakies back at attackers... lol.
Not sure what Hasbro thinks when they assemble creatures...

Ok, yes, I cut her horn off, but why is it filled with black plastic? Does this pony have an inner darkness that we don't know about?
I cut wings off of a Rainbow Dash and there wasn't an odd color inside...

Hmm, maybe it's a harder plastic to keep the horn straight?

:lmao:
You have seen the void of Hasbro's cold, greedy soul. A sight not meant for mortals to lay eyes upon. :devious:

I second this!

That's what I think, but I like the idea it's a piece of Hasbro's black soul better.

Agreed

It's like the crystals Jedi and Sith use to build their lightsabres in the Star Wars universe. Without the crystal the weapon can't work. Rarity obviously used a rare black one when she grew her horn (not sure if that makes her darksided, tho) :P

And that's why she morphed into Rari-demon. XD

Let me add that Lyra does not have this issue...

This explains so much! :D

Curiouser and curiouser!
It looks like Lyra's one of those lower-quality ponies they were selling at Walmart (I think) around Easter (IIRC) one year (did we ever settle on a nickname for that set? they've got less eye highlights and came in little baggies)... I can't tell, is Rarity from that set too? Cause if she isn't, maybe that'd explain the difference :O.

Those no highlight baggie ponies were sold at Target in the checkout section aisle thingies (at least at mine) for a long time too.

The Rarity does appear to have the gradient and extra highlight, so it looks as though they are indeed from different sets!

oh, maybe they were sold at Target then, not Walmart? :o I dunno, I just know they appeared over here at discount stores several years later.
It's interesting, though! I figured it was just the eyes and packaging that were less detailed, but maybe the plastic was lower quality too? :O I wonder why they even made those.
