I saw the Sequestria playset with bonus ponies at Walmart today. Here's a pic.

I really want Queen Novo and Haven Bay but I just can't justify buying that playset for them. I'll just have to wait and hope I'll get them second hand. I feel pretty good about Haven Bay being released again later. I just don't know if Queen Novo will be released in that beautiful translucent form again.

I was told at my store that I'd have to order it and get it shipped to store from warehouse because a lot of stores aren't carrying it due to size.

I also can't afford to buy this huge playset just for Haven Bay and Queen Nova. I have no space to store that huge box. I don't think I've seen any other Walmart stock the playset. with the bonus ponies in my area.

I also love Haven Bay the pony, but do not want or need the playset even if it comes to Asda or somewhere else here in the UK. It'll be over £80 and that's just ugly for one (admittedly pretty) merpony.

I'm at the mercy of whichever playset my mom decides to buy for me as to whether I get Haven or not. I've made sure to emphasize that I need the Walmart kind, but I've never seen this or the crystal castle (from last year) with the bonus pack in store.

Sometimes the big playsets sell really well as "the big Christmas present", so Haven Bay and pearly Queen Novo may not be too hard to find on the secondhand market--eventually. Dream Castle was the most expensive G1 playset that came with a pony and I used to find Majesty at thrift stores all the time. I had 10 extras at one point.

Am I wrong or is there a pattern of releasing new characters in special sets/big sets and then later releasing them again as singles or in smaller sets? I'm thinking of ponies like Shining Armor, Muffins pony and now Tempest and Songbird. Remember when you could only get Shining Armor by buying the wedding castle playset? Or how Muffins was the Fair/SDCC exclusive and we never thought they would actually give her a wide release?
I keep telling myself this when eyeing Haven Bay.

@ Sunset, I hope you're right. Judging by the current sale price of Haven Bay online, it would really help if she had another release. Right now she's more expensive than buying the whole playset would be...

But Majesty is neither a store exclusive nor limited by region, and she was out for several years, not just one. I suspect the main pony with the set probably will end up like that, but Haven Bay, possibly not. Rather like Starswirl, who only came with a specific release of the Rarity carriage. Rarity and her carriage are not hard to find. Starswirl is expensive. This is like that.

Yeah, but there are a lot of WalMarts in the US and a lot of people do their Christmas shopping there. They're far more prominent than TRU, and I see TRU exclusive ponies at Value Village fairly often. (I picked up brushable Minty at Goodwill just yesterday.)
The main question will be if WalMart has these in stock by Christmas. Sometimes they are not the best at stocking.

It doesn't matter how many Walmarts there are in the US if the rest of the world don't ever get the pony, because that's then an exclusive, cost of which is added to by elevated shipping costs and import duty. We are in this equation too ;)
At present Asda and Smyths (both stores with history of Walmart exclusives) don't show any sign of this release here, and I don't know about Europe. Even Canada so far seems to not be on the list, and if it's big and expensive, it might not be in such great quantities after all.
There will probably be lots of Holly Dashes in the UK in the future second hand market. But it may still make it difficult, costly and annoying for people overseas to get her :P

I just ordered this set for $55 on cyber monday but I basically just got it for Haven Bay and the extra accessories because I already have the regular version of the castle....I need to figure out what I want to do with the rest of it...

Thanks so much for mentioning this. Last time I went looking for her on eBay there weren't any listed. I just picked her up for $20 :)
I also was looking at previously sold Queen Novos and noticed there was one that looked different from the others. Her "wings" are a different color and there are some other small differences. I wonder if it's some kind of alternate version. It's really pretty.

There have been 2 versions of Queen Novo on eBay by a Chinese seller for at least a month. They run about $5-6 each. I've ordered 1 of each to see what there like, but it may be another week or two before I get them.
I was able to order my castle with Haven Bay for $45 & free shipping on Cyber Monday so keep an eye out for sales if you are in the us. The first two weeks in December can see some good sales. Also, lots of toys go on sale in January when stores are trying to get rid of stock.

I just bought this set at Walmart for $50. My Walmart still had quite a few months shelves so I'm assuming it hasn't sold very well. Either that or they just had too much in stock. Either way, $50 is a pretty good deal for something that was originally $88.

I don't have room but it's really tempting to get Seaquestria Castle on clearance especially with the bonus ponies. I'll probably end up with it anyway it it's still there next week.

I’m glad everyone is getting such great deals! :) I really wanted this set but it never came to stores anywhere near me. It also never showed up on Walmart.ca and Walmart.com wouldn’t ship it to Canada. My store said they couldn’t get it and when I contacted the Walmart support they couldn’t help me get or find it either. I’m hoping I’ll be able to find Queen Novo and Haven Bay online in a few years times.

Congrats Sunset. :) I think all of the stores in my area are out now as Walmart.com says order now for pickup instead of available today. Maybe I'll find Queen Novo later and Haven Bay later.

I think if I rearrange my current playsets I'll be able to squeeze it in. I've got a place in front of the window where height doesn't matter. Will just have to move the playset that's there now to another spot and then move the smaller playsets that are in *that* spot and find a cubby hole for the wedding castle.

Oh no! I really wanted those ponies. :( I have zero room for the playset but I thought I might be able to sell it. Dunno if anyone would buy it without the ponies but that's what I wanted to do. Now I'll have to look on Ebay for Haven Bay and Queen Novo and they'll probably be too expensive. What a bummer! Congrats to those who got it at twenty bucks, what a steal!

Same here, I'd have zero room in my apartment for that playset.. Fortunately I found Haven Bay by herself for about $20 on eBay..
Not sure how I feel about the Queen Novo figure as she's not brushable in any way :huh:

I think anywhere from $50-$19 is a good deal for this set. :)
It looks like it might be back in stock online now butmake sure you're buying the one that says $44 sold and shipped by Walmart. There is another seller selling the same castle on Walmart.com for a higher price.

Don't regret it though, since I don't know if I would have been able to go on without it this long since it helped me so much with reorganizing my G4.5 section.

Had a nice time putting mine together today :) Was able to move the playsets around to fit it in. The Wedding castle got relegated down to under the cabinet. I don't know what I'm going to do with the extra bubble piece.
So here is my cat. "Finally! I was wondering when you were going to make a space just for me!"

Sunset, your setup looks great! I think space for a cat to sit is the most important aspect of all. I love the green you use to display them on, too!
This works as a nice frame of reference for how big the castle is assembled.

Plus, if you want one to keep out of box, there's Amazon warehouse discounted ones for $11.75. Just a heads up :)

The lowest was actually $10 on Cyber Monday (when I ordered mine), but $14's pretty good too. Everyone who had missed out on the Cyber Monday deal and still wants her, now would certainly be your chance!!
