this morning I mailed a custom pony to Italy, and the PO worker told me that if I'm shipping a TOY to Italy that I should mark it as
"Collectible Item"
or
"Novelty Item"
and not "toy"
he said there's some kind of embargo or something on toys going into Italy...
of course, then he said they wouldn't be able to read my writing anyway! LOL :P I love being a regular at the PO lol

There are restrictions on toys being imported to Italy (very stooopido if you ask me - especially since I wanna go live there eventually ) so thats why you shouldnt write toy on the Italy customs form. I would go with the horse figure or novelty item ;) ...collectible items have a tendency to go MIA.
Thankfully Euro/UK peeps dont have to deal with customs forms when we ship to Italy, so we dont have this issue, but its definitely a good tip for non-Euro peeps. Thank you for posting :bigups:

Just to confirm my other post that with "toy" the package arrives without problems, I just received a custom pony from JPP and she wrote "custom my little pony toy" :)

good to know Izrabeth :bigups: I'm glad your custom arrived safely :)
