Anyone used them? A few years ago I used GITD Modge Podge on a bait. It has since become sticky. Pony spa time!! I got to wondering about the powders and mixing them with a bit with a bit of glitter paint like Folk Art has.

Oh good question! I will wait if anyone knows..

You can buy glow in the dark paint, that might be better? ModPodge can go sticky :(
I have used glow powders, but only the kind you put in resin, I don't think they would be safe to use any other way?

Why would they not be safe like mixed into clear paint (my brain is tired can't think of term)?

I've used them by mixing them in clear sealer (not ModPodge). The kind of powder I have I actually bought from an Arena member years ago. It worked okay that way but it clumped quite a bit and was hard to "paint" on whatever I used it for (I can't remember exactly... wings maybe?).
It's worth a shot.

Because safety comes first!
They are chemicals and may react if used incorrectly, for example, mixed with something that may make them unstable. Glow powder is toxic if accidentally inhaled or ingested. It's also toxic to the environment, especially aquatic life, so must be deposed properly (my local recycling plant has a section for chemicals)
I bought my glow powder from an industrial chemical company that sells resin, as well other products, everything came with safety leaflets.
It might be different if you buy your glow powder from a regular craft shop though. I'd still be careful with it though.

Fear not pkw!! Gloves and mask for mixing and such. And stuff will be well sealed. Good to know on the aquatic bit. Will see what the recycling folks say.

XD I guess I'm just not careful. I mean I use pure acetone as my nail polish remover and never use a face mask like people say to use. Lol I'll probably grow an extra arm.
-
If you could control it, cool. Inhaling powder that would make my lungs go technicolor, not so cool.

I am glad to hear it :)

What I have learnt so far:
10 pack of pastel powders from Amazon, love the glow!
Clear acrylic paint from Techniglow, not sure if I love it.
Seemed to thicken and dry too quickly. Maybe user error. Added some of the hologram paint and happier with it.
Glow plus glitter!
Darker base coat than the finished look you want. A bit like rubbing chalk on in that it lightens and softens.
On coat 4 for the body, 2 for the head. Thinking 4-5 total for the pink.
Need more GITD hair!!!
So far I am liking this stuff. I would love to see what our resin gurus could do with it.
