I’m not sure if this counts as being arts and crafts, but this seems like the best place to put it.
At the end of July, I wanted to animate something, specifically with movement so I could try to figure out physics in blender, a 3d animation software. So I tried to reanimate a short clip from the song “in our town” from my little pony. It’s not a perfect animation, and I can see a few things off the bat I need to improve, like making the hair not clip through fluttershys body, and lighting. But I learnt more about how to render animation, add sound and export the video. It was a learning process, and I’m happy something came out of it.
Since I just made it, I figured I’d share it with you guys to get some honest feedback.

Oh, it's so cute! Did you make those models yourself? I don't recognize them, and I'm glad to see models that aren't the SFM ones.

I didn’t make them. Sadly, my modeling skills aren’t the best. I got them from creatorofpony on DeviantArt. He made that “awesome as I wanna be” 3d version in blender.

That looks great! I use Blender for some stuff but only poked around with animation briefly. I need to use a cheat sheet for the little bit I do use because it's such a massive and complicated program :drunk:

Blender is indeed a massive program, and it can get rather complicated. I couldn’t tell you what 90 percent of the buttons do, and even I need a cheat sheet. But with practice, it’s supposedly no different than any other software.

I’ll see if I can take screenshots of the process, as I have all of it on my computer. Once I do that, I can show how I used the program. A behind the scenes look at it.
