UK peeps might want to have a look to see if a "Family Bargains" shop has opened up near them. I looked online and it says it's owned by the 99p store.
There's a new one in Reading (near Morrisons) and I spotted toys on the list of stuff they had so thought it was worth a look to see if they had G4... They didn't but I did find a surprise! the original G3 ponies Rainbow Dash, Wysteria and Sweetberry with the video tapes :P They were a little dusty but ok otherwise. They were £3.99 but I had to buy the 4 they had just to rescue the poor ponies. I'll be putting them up for sale soon :lookround:
So if you've spotted this store check it out! They do seem to have a few around - check google :cool:

How strange! That is quite a way back by now! 2003 or 2004 maybe? Back in the days of G3, 'Home Bargains' had some G3s at cheap prices. I wonder if they're connected at all?

Oh wow, one opened near us actually but it's a bit of a trek.
I managed in 99pence store to find an illustrated Hogfather screeplay, it had an ASDA sticker on it so I guess thats where they get some of their stock from. (I also found a concept art book for the Narnia films from there too)

I found Twilight & Spike's Balloon in USA packaging in Boyes here, which is the local rubbishy cheap shop with an added fabric shop above it. Other than that I've had no luck. I'll keep an eye out for anything like that opening up!

Wow - I would have bought them, too. My mom actually found some of the Target Holiday g3s MIP and gave them to me for Christmas - I decided to keep them MIP since I opened all of my other G3s when I got them :silly:

i love england
when i was there in 2000 i found a 15yr old carebear still mib in a model shop it was 2pounds i nearly had a heart attack.
lets hope its not just that family bargain store but it might just be old stock they found in the back.

Videos! I bet there are kids these days who don't even know what a video is. Cool find though, I love coming across old stuff in discount stores - it's like some weird sort of time travel :)
I found a G3 Daisyjo (the first one with a charm) in TK Maxx about a week or so ago but the box was open and it was selling for £7.99 so it stayed where it was!

A friend of mine used to work at TRU and told me how they smashed all the G1 Kitchens up to send them back, just a few months before I got back into collecting... *dies*

Smashed up the playsets! eh! Hasbro might have been able to sell them otherwise *grr*
I also spotted someone has the same ones up on amazon so maybe it's a nation wide thing ?!
They were definitely not from a storeroom there, as I said this shop has only been open a couple of months, before it was JJB sports. Perhaps there's a warehouse full of them *dreams*

Wierd I found a G3 daisyjo at my local TK Maxx a couple of weeks ago too and she stayed where she was aswell! Ww have a family bargains in my town so will be popping in there tomorrow to see if I can find one!
