What are the terms/conditions of said swap? Can anyone join in? Is it like a "convention" where we all meet or an online swap? I'm new but it's sounding fun!

brighteyes, i bet you'll have plenty of time, i wanna make sure we get more than 5 people to get this goin, and also it will take time to get a hold of a mod to approve it. i've messeged before, asking what the qualifications are, but no one has responded back to me. i'll keep a list of everyone who's interested, and if this is able to happen, i'll send messages out, and make a bigger announcment to see who wants to officially join. i think it'd be a lot of fun, i love swaps! and its also a good way to get pets that aren't available to you're areas. we got some of the blind bags at my store, that haven't hit shelves elsewhere yet. so its just all kinds of fun.

i have to wait until the first week of october before i can show the mods (then i'll have been a member for 1 year) since they changed the new rules. then if they ok it, i'll open it for sign ups :)
i'm thinking sign ups will be open for a week or so, then partners will be assigned, shopping will start and we'll have plenty of time to gather things for our partner, then we'll all ship by the deadline. so i'm thinking once its all said and done, packages will be arriving in november. sounds like a far time away but when you include the time it takes for sign ups and shopping, its really not that long lol

it doesn't matter how many you've got, 1 million or none lol its like the pony swaps, we shop for our partners and we get pets in return as well. it's a great opportunity for new collectors to add to their collection, or even to see what else is out there. i just ask that everyone try to put together a box that they themselves would be happy to receive, and that they think their partner would like based on their wish list.

the minimum is $15 not counting shipping, or extras (extras are fun and extra lol) i figured $15 is a good amount because its cheap enough and that way people can get a decent package seeing how in store pet shops are at the lowest $3 each. i'm not sure about the time limit yet, that'll be worked out if the mods ok the swap. i have to wait until the first week in october to ask, since the new rules say to host a swap you have to have been a member for a year. so in about a week i'll ask them if i can open sign ups

lemon, how much are they for the singles and blind bags there? we have more expensive ones here too, i was just saying the cheapest would be singles for about $3. our blind bags are $3 but i found them at my store for $2.50 and snatch up the whole box as we get them in on truck. our double packs here are about $6 and $12 for the sets. but i was thinking people could also use ebay and stuff (i know a lot people resorted to online shopping for the pony swaps) i've been able to buy a lot of 99 cent ones on ebay lately with free shipping

Here, LPS is from 1.99 and up...so at least for me, I'll be able to get quite a bit for the money. :)

Blind bags here are 4,60 dollars. And package of two is about 11 dollars.
I just say its more expensive here :( but i want to join. I maybe can find some not new from stores..
played with in good condition is not so expensive :)

if there is a certain gen you're after you can list it, but try to make it nothing that's insanely hard to get (like rare pets or playsets) g2's would be easiest to get since they're sold in stores right now. but ebay and members here on the arena have g1's listed for sale too. if you think of any changes you'd like to make to your list before sign ups are closed, you can PM them to me and i can update it.

I don't really have extras of any...G1 or G2. Just because you collect a certain thing doesn't mean you will have extras. I just have what is in my own collection. May just change how much you are able to spend on one item and where you have to buy it. Same way with pony swaps, not everyone collects G4s so if you get paired up with someone that only collects G1 or G2, you have to find alternate means of buying for them.

I did mention in mine that I mostly collect G1s but wouldnt mind buying someone else G2 or G3. I guess I would just prefer to receive G1 anything lol :) There is always ebay :)

I just want LPS ponies, is all...lol. It'll be 10x easier if someone wants the G2 or newer for me, my area is swamped with 'em. But eh, the fun is in the hunt and shopping. :biggrin:

well whatever you can get with the budget, i've been comparing prices at some stores to see what the best deal would be to get more for the money. ebay is also a good place to get stuff from, i've bought a lot of cheap lots off there recently.

i went ahead and assigned everyone a partner (there's only a half hour left until midnight here, so i went ahead and closed sign ups so we can all get shoppin!!)
remember, don't tell your partner you got them, it spoils the surprise! have fun shopping everyone!
and also, if you want to ask your partner a question about what they like, you can post a question here and everyone can answer. its fun, passes the time, and you learn more about everyone and you get the answer without your partner knowing. :)

I would much rather have a set than just random pets from different sets or somewhat complete set or one that isn't missing key pieces. Unless of course the accessory/pet is mentioned specifically on my wishlist.

if you finish before the deadline, the earliest i'd say to ship is around the 27th, unless you're shipping outside the country, then i'll ok it to be sooner since i know it takes a while to ship there. that way everyone gets their boxes around the same time, and if you end up seeing something else you want to put in the box its not too late (i've done that before lol!!)

i have a puppy myself (why i got into lps-to find one that looks like her) so i think it would be cool to have something in the mail for her. if that's what you meant.

i think it'd be fun, it'd be hard to find bunny treats though (most sold in stores aren't good for them) but my birdies eat anything you put in front of them lol!!! after they send their leader (mimic) to go scope it out first

I think this would be great...it is a Littlest PET Swap anyway! However, my pets are either picky or have dietary sensitivities/medical reasons against some diet choices, so I don't know if my partner would want to deal with buying treats for any of my pets lol. Here are my pets:
Cherokee (23 year-old Paint mare)-alas poor thing cannot have horse treats due to her laminitis
Toby (10 year-old Husky/Black Lab/German Shepherd mix)-will eat pretty much anything but we try to stick to senior specific things for him if possible
Osiris (3 year-old Black Lab/Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix)-sensitive to chicken and beef, fish based is best, can tolerate lamb and turkey most of the time. Definitely cannot have flavored rawhide chews
Anubis (4 year-old domestic shorthair cat)-Having some digestive sensitivities we cannot figure out. Seems to be caused by him eating our other cats food (Blue Buffalo Wilderness Mature) so he is on a (Blue Buffalo) sensitive stomach diet which does him fine when he actually will eat it instead of the other cat's. Cannot have Beef based at all though, makes him sick.
Isis (9 year-old white domestic shorthair cat)-we try to stick to senior specific things or things for dental health due to bad breath and slight tartar buildup, cannot have beef based either.
So with all of those specifics I can totally understand it if my pets don't get treats. I have highlighted this biggest things to be aware of though and the rest are just guidelines for them whenever we can swing it.
One other question:
How do people feel about customs, like maybe LPS that was never made in the G1 series?
I would only want a custom if it was a G1 LPS horse painted like my own mare Cherokee (have to post pix of her).

I have a cat and she loves those Feline Temptations treats. She also isn't picky, she would pretty much try out anything. :)

I'm more of a pet person vs. an accessory person, so loose toys are fine with me :)
I'd love a custom and actually that was something I was thinking of doing for my partner :P Especially if it's done to look like one of my kitties :D
I have my two cats and a snake, and since they don't really make snake treats, kitty treats would be wonderful!

i hope my partner is happy, i hit up toys r us and they had a sale, and i scored some nice stuff at work for cheap. also on saturday i've got a coupon to save money and i plan on gettin more stuff at work then. i haven't even reached the minimum price yet!! i think my partner will be happy with the package. we get more stuff in this weekend, so i kind of hope its new instead of the same stuff we've been getting in the past couple of months.

Yeah, I don't know if I will have my stuff ready to ship by then either. I am still waiting on a few sellers to get back to me with prices and stuff for some items I am looking at getting for my partner so I don't even know when shipment will happen due to slow communication.

I like candy for extras, not too much but if it some of my faves I love love love it lol. I also like stuff from my other collections as extras (everything I collect is listed in my sig on my wishlist). Otherwise, I like treats for my pets like stuff from the treat bar at Petco or Holiday themed treats for them or me...with 3 major holidays coming up, I am down for stuff like that. No more autumn candles though lol. Um...merch having to do with my favorite MLPs (Sugarberry, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash (G4), Rosedust). Scrapbooking stuff like patterned paper, brads, more unusual scrapbooking things (no more holiday stickers lol...I feel like I am collecting those now because I have so many). Horse stuff, Disney stuff (princesses, villains). Other stuff I think is listed on my wishlist for extras and if it isn't I will update it.

I would definitely get at least a tracking number on it if you go through the post office. There is the option of shipping UPS or FedEx, but they're more expensive for smaller packages. I'll be getting the tracking number so I can see where my package is as it works its way through the states :)

for some reason my work keeps sending us the same blind bags!! its the same wave, but every animal is the same 5 animals. its weird! this is the 3rd week in a row we've gotten the same exact animals! grrrrr. there's a certain one i'm needing for my partner. i'm so excited, because last weekend at work i bought all the blind bags we had to rotate in a new batch (they sent us the same exact batch, with the same exact animals the past 3 weeks) but this week i was SURE they would send us more in. and i dug through all the totes from truck on my break looking for them, couldn't find any. but then last minute i dug a little more and found them buried with christmas stuff. and inside was the one pet i had been waiting to pick up for my partner!!!! i ran to the front and had my co-worker ring it up for me and she started to open it and i screamed "NOOOO!!!! ITS SPECIAL!!!" lol and she nearly had a heart attack. i usually let her open my blind bags for me because she gets excited to see what they are. she was kinda bummed. lol!!!

lol i'm AWFUL at wrapping. I had to get more paper to wrap today because i used it all up on just 2 things. XD that shows how bad i am at it. a whole roll of paper for 2 items. i'm still waiting on an item in the mail, and trying to get one more bought. i made a list of the final things i need to get, its just the shipping time i'm worried about. on top of that, my car broke down, AND my poor little blue parakeet Barnacle, got sick. took my whole pay check >.< so i have to wait til friday to buy the last of the things i need.

well people sign up for different genres they enjoy, mystery, sci fi, suspense etc. (multiple is ok too) write a list of their 5 favorite books, to give their partner a good idea of what they really like. and instead of a wish list, they write a list of a bunch of (or all ) the books they've read.
then the partner picks a book (or books) in that genre that they really loved, as long as it's not on the list, and sends it to them.
the idea is to try and read something you new wouldn't try otherwise, but still in the realm of something you would enjoy.
and oh i would totally do a pet swap. that sounds awesome too!!! you could include pictures and maybe some people could draw their pets as well.
