Welcome back ponies!!! :)
It's been a long haul, but here we are with a brand new, shiny Arena! Yeay!
Please note that the posts on the old forum will be transferred over to the new site, but with the bajillion posts that are there, it is going to take us some time. But do not fear we are still hard at work behind the scenes!
In the mean time, have a look around, you will see some new things and there are more new things to come as we continue to mold this site into our new pony home! :)
All of us mods are here, and should you have any questions, let us know! :) We will be happy to answer them for you.

You can change the background color from pink :) It's under the profile link towards the top of the page :)

You can change it to the Simple Machines default setting, which is a grey-blue. :)

I like the theme, but it's kind of broken on my preferred resolution of 1024x768.
Edit: Shrinking the header fixes everything XD

You can go to Profile >> Modify Profile >> Look and Layout for some gray and blue schemes. :)

It should be in between "Profile" and "Calendar" (Fun fact, if you input your birthday into your profile, it puts it on the calendar!)

It could be :) It could also be a switch we need to flip somewhere along the line. Site Admin are aware of it now, and are looking into it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon! :)

I am not seeing any sort of Message or Profile link so I can get rid of the pink and no edit button on my threads. Maybe it's because I am hidden, but I can't change that either no buttons :relaxed:

You will get used to it, I promise! All the mods were totally lost for a day or two as well, but this format already feels like home. It really does have some fantastic features! And more will be added as we all settle in :)

I believe you :) just used to the old layout lol, I do however like this, and I think the new little features are going to be a really good thing too, im sure once running properly it'll be much better than the old site :)

Have you used the quick reply function? It's down the bottom of the page and is there exactly to prevent you having to open a new page every time you comment :)
The new forum is much more modern that the old one. Once you get used to the new features you will never want to go back! :frolic:

While i'm glad the arena is back...i hope i'm allowed to say that i'm dissapointed by the current (layout) design.
It looks very generic. It's nice that we have more features but he old arena looked like there was a lot more effort put into it design-wise. I hope it will improve in the future. For now, i can at least nag about ponies again. XP So, thanks for the hard work.

You might want to turn on the Quick Reply option if it isn't on already... if it's not, you go to Profile > Account Settings > Look and Layout and there's a Quick Reply option in there. I have mine on :)

Actually, you don't drag. You click the picture you want, then scroll down a little bit in the PB box and the image code is underneath. You copy and paste the image code into your post and there you go. :)

Woo-hoo!! I was so missing the arena already! It will take me a while to get used to the layout (looks very typical-message board to me, the old arena looked a little more unique I thought) but I'll play around with theme settings and what not. I'm excited about all the new features too!

Took me a while to get rid of the pink, so I'm stuck with what seems to be battleship grey, and having trouble eyesight wise with telling the difference between posts under each other in threads, but there you go.

Whoo! Very glad to have the Arena back again! I'm really liking the new features, but the generic message board look will take a little bit of getting used to. Very nice so far though. But did I miss something, or is there no mention of this on the old Arena? I've been checking in there once a day for updates as to when the new site would be launched, but there's no mention of it there? Guess it's my fault for neglecting Facebook, since I imagine there was probably an update on there :P

I almost didn't find this place. I figured the old board would have the link to this place, but when I couldn't find it, I just figured it wasn't done yet. But then today I went there and saw the banner greyed out and I kind of started to panic. I did a Google search, but that only brought up the old site, so I checked MLPTP but didn't find any links there. I don't have a Facebook page (I never want one) and I've never been on Twitter since I couldn't make any sense of the format and because I don't even own a cell phone, but while I knew I couldn't even see the FB page without an account, I knew I could probably see the Twitter page without an account there, so I started searching Google, and got nothing, so I just guessed the address and got lucky. I was so worried I'd never find this site again. :cry: I'm probably the only person who doesn't use FB, but it was really hard to know what was going on. It might be a good idea to put a link to this site on the old Arena somewhere just in case there's others like me.

this place is awsome! but i am having trouble with the pages freezing up on me, they freeze solid for like 60 seconds and then unfreeze, it is still tons better than the old arena!

It looks like I'm not the only one who didn't find the new arena right away. I didn't bother with facebook until I saw the old place was archived and then got curious and searched around.

Wow!!! This going to take some getting used to. I really liked the layout of the old Arena but this seems so much faster! I've successfully changed my layout from pink to mint... lol :P Is there any chance we will get the shout box back or some form of mlp chat? :lookround: I'm glad we can see who's online again!
