I was thinking about the 35th Anniversary release scented rainbow ponies and wondered if Hasbro had done that with the original 6 - what would they smell like?
Butterscotch and Cotton Candy - would probably smell just like their names.
Minty would likely be some kind of mint - maybe spearmint
Blossom would probably smell like a flower - I was thinking lavender would be nice.
But then I got to Snuzzle and Bluebelle and there wasn't anything obvious to me about how they should smell. So I thought about it (for much longer than I should have) and decided...
It would be nice if Snuzzle smelled like bubblegum and Bluebelle smelled like blue raspberry.
What do you think they'd smell like?

I would think bluebelle would smell like bluebells...?
Snuzzle on the other hand.... I can only think of a barn scent, lol

I agree with all your scents except for Snuzzle, she looks like she would be "fresh linen"-scented
I'd definitely buy Bluebelle if she was blue raspberry!!!!

I did not even think of bluebells!

Fresh linen is a great scent :)

I agree that it makes sense for Blue Belle to smell like bluebells, but bluebells don't smell all that great IMO, so I would rather she be scented with a different floral like muguet, lilac, and/or hyacinth. (You could still call it "bluebell" scent, and I'm sure not many people would notice that it didn't contain any actual bluebell notes.)
Snuzzle, she looks like she would be "fresh linen"-scented
My mind immediately went to "clean laundry" for Snuzzle too! I don't know why, but she really seems like she would smell like warm cotton and fresh air to me... Maybe because "Snuzzle" sounds like a brand of fabric softener? ^^;
-
Fresh linen sounds way better then barn smell. XD
My mind couldn't get past what smell does a horse smell like.
-
Snuzzle would be that "fresh laundry" candle smell. Like a warm sweater just out of the dryer!
Edit: LOL, I typed this before reading the other replies . . . I'm glad to see I'm not the only one whose mind went to laundry / linen!

By barn smell, I thought you meant fresh hay.
-
Cotton Candy, Butterscotch and Minty should all smell like their names. :) I think Blossom should smell like lavender, Bluebelle should smell like bluebonnets, morning glories or some other floral scent. Maybe Snuzzle should smell like roses.

This is something I've thought more about than is probably natural for most people.
The two most obvious would be Cotton Candy and Minty, because they would smell like cotton candy and spearmint.
Snuzzle would smell like vanilla. Blossom would smell like lavender, while Blue Belle would smell more like jasmine. And finally, Butterscotch would smell like Yankee Candle's Butterscream scent (https://www.yankeecandle.com/product/buttercream/_/R-115461).
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Oh gosh. If they ever made a mint-scented pony... I don't think I could stop myself from having a whole shelf full of them  I looooove mint!
-
If they all came scented it would be neat. I probably would buy them all off the shelves. I like snuzzle to smell like baby powder. :)

Horse smell is the best smell.

Vanilla scented Snuzzle would be amazing...Although I'm probably biased since Snuzzle is one of my favorites and vanilla is one of my favorite scents :P

I'm glad they aren't. The smells were a little much.

I agree. No more scented sets please Hasbro...esp not if it is causing the discolouring.

That too. Especially for sets that weren't even scented to begin with.
-
I think they should all just smell like perfume puffs, ah, nostalgia.
(Yeah, I actually was sniffing ponies last night, cherry treats why do you always smell like play-doh?)

I agree, discoloration is a big turn off and is proven to happen. I've taken a pass on purchasing this round of ponies for that specific reason.

The scent is the reason that I will pass on the anniversary rainbow ponies. I am lucky enough to have four of the original rainbows so although it would be lovely to have the new set it's not as if I don't have the ponies at all.
I like to have my ponies on display, and they live in the sitting room. Scents can be funny things - who knows which, if any, will make someone sneeze until you've actually smelt it!
We usually have fresh flowers on the table so I like to think that my ponies can smell the flowers and that the floral scent changes with the seasons rather than being scented themselves (I'm sure Blossom approves with her being a keen gardener :) )
