Title: Non BBE’s and How to Find Ponies (help an old newbie out :))
Post by: gustystarr on May 11, 2018, 09:35:59 AM: I feel a bit silly posting this thread because i haven’t posted a thread on the arena for ages but I’m just returning to my small heard of G1s and realize that though I’ve been a member here for a long time I’m still a bit of a newbie when it comes to collecting. For the longest time my grail pony has been a non bbe baby Gusty and back when I started collecting it seemed like a simple ebay search would bring up at least one, but now not so much. As silly as it sounds I’m not sure how to search for a pony I want without ebay and I was wondering if anybody here on the arena knew of alternative places to look? Any help would be much appreciated.

Also if anyone wants to share photos of their nonbbe babies or dbbe babies feel free to I’d love to see them :)!

Post by: Taffeta on May 11, 2018, 09:42:50 AM: Baby Gusty is the only Play and Care Set baby (please, trying to get rid of people using 'NBBE' as a term for these ponies, as it's ugly :'() that I have never had a double of. I don't know why she's so tricky to find but she does come up occasionally, just it seems to be in patches.

She does come up sometimes on ebay but it's worth looking at non-US ebays. She's more likely to show up on ebay sites from the countries she was sold in (UK, Germany, etc).

Here is also a good place if you posted a wanted ad. Someone might have one they want to sell.

Also maybe try searching with the proper set name? You never know.

Though, not all sellers are willing to ship outside of Sweden and you have to have a Swedish personal number to open an account. But you might be able to find someone in Sweden to help you get her for you if you find her on there. I just snagged my 2nd NBBE Baby Gusty from there and there was also a MIB one a few weeks ago. ;)
