Edit: She's from a craft kit. I've never heard of it until it was brought to my attention, but it's interesting.
A little background: I came back home from college for the weekend to look after the cat, and before deciding to take a nap, I found a bag of ponies on my bed containing a G4 McRainbowdash, a G1 baby Sniffles (Without her sister for some reason...) And, well, this Rainbow dash statue. Does anybody know what this actually is and where it came from? I've tried several different keywords on google images. My Little Wiki didn't have anything on it, either. It has no date or manufacture markings on it whatsoever and is hollow at the bottom. It looks like it might be a cake topper or something?

She's cute! How nice that you came home and found ponies on your bed. That's really neat that someone found ponies for you.

My Little Wiki needs a bit of G4 help ha. I'm working on the Cutie Mark Crew right now but should prooobably get around to the other figs. :P
That's super cute to come home to! And it looks like she doesn't have weird marker all over her, which is good.

Wow... man, while it looks nice as is, I can't imagine these ever actually 'working' as the craft kit they're designed as. Trying to color such a smooth surface with markers seems like it's destined for messy failure. Seems like a weird way to package what is essentially a fancy statuette.

I saw someone on Youtube color this one and the Twilight Sparkle statue and it actually seemed to work pretty well. At least, it looked great. I don't know how permanent the marker was, or if it would rub off the chrome.
I've always thought the Rainbow Dash statue would look great done up to look like Firefly.
