Title: Toy store Toy Traders in BC, Canada
Post by: LadyMoondancer on December 04, 2017, 03:31:33 PM
I mentioned this in another thread but I didn't want to thread hijack, so I thought I'd show my photos here instead.  ;)  These are from Toy Traders (http://www.toytraders.ca/) in Langley, BC.

Amazing place, crammed with new and old toys.  Those big dioramas are set high on the walls.

The G1 ponies were pretty high priced so I didn't buy any, but I definitely enjoyed seeing them.  (The G3s were quite affordable.)

I would die to walk into that place and see ponies. Only way I can buy non current ponies is via eBay and that relies on photos. So seeing them before I buy or even just browsing would be fantastic.

What was the price that they were asking on those G1 ponies?

It's been a few months since I was there, but I think it was like . . . $12-ish or $15-ish and up, even for common ponies.  There weren't any super deals or anything, but if it was a pony you really wanted it might have been worth it since you wouldn't have to pay shipping.  (Also most of the ponies were in REALLY nice shape, I didn't see a lot of frizzy hair or marks or anything.)

I did aaaalmost buy a Gingerbread who came with her backcard for $24.  She was pure white with no age marks.  But ponies with fading pink in their hair stress me out so I didn't get her. ;)

I think G3s were $4 to $6 or something like that.

OMG!! I'm moving there.  No really.  Thank you so much for posting this.  I will definitely go there when I move in a few years if it's still open.
