To this ebayer. Today I got this negative: This pony is nothing like the picture! I want a refund u thief very disappointed
AFTER the neg I got the following message: (I changed the swear words to *s hope thats ok)
Shame on you. People like you should be in jail!
How dare you send me a fake I paid so much for something cheap.
My 3 year old waited for this pony for weeks and when I received it I was very upset and disappointed that people like you are still living.
I watched as my daughter sat there scratching the paint off the pony I bought of you. My 3 year old was asking me why is the color coming off. You looser I hope someone comes into your life and takes all your money and leaves you with nothing.
It's a shame you're all the way in the USA!!

People like this really get on my nerves :mad: You didn't do anything wrong. She obviously did not read the listing nor does she know anything about ponies. You have no reason to give her a refund, especially after she received it and destroyed your beautiful custom. I'm not sure what you can do about this because I'm a complete moron when it comes to Ebay and Paypal and disputes. I would definately keep the messages she sent you to use as evidence against her in case she tries to file a dispute. I'm sure someone more experienced will come along with some advice :) Best of luck to you! And many pony hugs :hug: No one deserves to be treated like that.

You stated in the auction that the pony should stand up to 'light play', not someone deliberately picking paint off, not to mention that it might differ slightly from the picture because they are made-to-order... The 'delay' in receiving the item is also explained in the description too. This lady has NO reason to be acting like this. Yeesh.
Side note- I bought from you before (custom petite magnets) and I love your work :hug: The magnets are displayed on my fridge and I want to wear the Lickety pin you made me to the pony fair when I go :lovey:

Yes, she clearly did not read the description. And if she knew anything about MLP toys, she would know that Hasbro doesn't produce anything close to your work.
I hope you get it straightened out, and she ends up with the neg marks on her record, and not you.

And I hate when buyers just go ahead and leave a negative without trying to resolve things first. It is VERY apparent she didn't read the description. Besides, who buys an expensive custom to give to their child to play with? The whole thing seems fishy.

I agree! Something sounds Fishy...buyer remorse or something. Doesn't she know that in order to receive a full refund, she has to return the item in the Same condition as received. Who spends $50+ on an item and doesn't read anything under the description of it. She's already admitted that she let her child destroy it. Don't reply and let her open up a case, you have evidence that she has received and destroyed it.

Okay, first of all...
Luna starts life as a gift pack Celestia. She is carefully hand painted in acrylics with a metallic shimmer, and inks. She has been sealed in a high gloss sealer to give her a starry shine. She is for collecting, or should stand up to light play.
I'd say you made it preeeeetty clear that she was a painted custom.
Second, what a horrible person, saying things like that to you because she didn't understand what she was buying! I am so sorry. She doesn't deserve any refund for failing to read any of the ebay listing.
I'm just so lost on this one, wow... Drops 60 bucks on a pony listed as a painted custom, gives it to her kid to scratch the paint off of, then has the audacity to yell at YOU for selling her exactly what she paid for... I don't bid without reading for ponies that are 6 dollars!
People like that have no business doing... Anything. I can't even believe that such a hateful person is nice enough to spoil her kid like that.
Whatever happens, you're in the right here. You listed Luna accurately, and she messed up. I'm so sorry you had to deal with a person like that, especially with her bringing up your children like that. :hug: Don't listen to that awful nasty person, and keep doing what you're doing. Your Lunas look great!

What an incredibly rude person. Who sends a message like that? I don't know how she could possibly misunderstand your listing. She seriously deserves to be kicked off ebay. And no matter what, even if it had been your fault (which it clearly is not) she has no right to say something like that about your children. Karma will come back to bite her, have faith in that.

As everyone else said here: terrible, awful person. The only time I ever complained about an item on ebay was when I won an auction for a LPS Corgi and it came covered in dirt! :( I got a refund but the person was really nasty about it... it's sad that there are people like that...

Sounds like she bought it, got it, thought about how she could have taken the time to buy a pony and paint it, then probably told herself the price was too high. Next thing you know, the kid's destroying it and she's so angry all she can think to do is blame you. :(

Wow. I've been in the pony community a very, very long time and I've never seen anything that awful. I looked at your auction listing, and if she'd even glanced down she would have seen it was a hand made item. You have one of the most professional auction listings I've seen on ebay, and I really hope this buyer doesn't get you down:/ She does NOT deserve a refund, and if she tries to file a chargeback, hopefully you'll be able to fight it. It won't be fun for you, but that woman doesn't deserve to get squat from anyone. I sincerely hope everyone who sees this blocks her from bidding on their listings. She shouldn't be on ebay! I feel bad for you, and I feel bad for her kids.

That Luna was lovely, I saw her in auction and was very tempted myself (sadly I was already way over pony budget >_< ). It was clearly stated she was a custom hand painted pony. Who spends that much on a custom pony only to give it to a kid to destroy??? Some people just don't deserve nice things...
I sincerely hope you get a good result from reporting that vitriolic message from this woman to ebay. Its nasty cyber bullying and shouldn't be tolerated.

Hi again guys- thanks for the support. I feel better today. Yes, her id is princess_asoos . She is in australia. Ebay said they can't remove the neg, but they gave her a violation for the message and they made a note about it so if she opens a case they should side with me. Hopefully she won't do that. It was the last of the Lunas that I planned to do for a while too- I pulled the listing because I've been so tired, and I have so much to do to get ready for the fair! :)

Unless she didn't read any of your listing which then she should maybe stay away from buying online! What a creep. So sorry she made you upset but hopefully everyone's opinions on this has comforted you. These stories are what make me never want to sell on eBay. Too many crazy buyers!

'Auction listing was for a hand painted pony, clearly stated in desc. and title, NOT a factory pony'
So people who see it can tell that it isn't a case of a bad condition pony listed with a stolen picture? Not everyone checks on here. :)

Holy moly, call in the Flutter Ponies, somebody Smoozed that lady!! I mean, Jesus, what did she expect!? ALL ponies are painted in a manner... INCLUDING factory ponies! You leave a pony with a three year old who seems to enjoy scratching things, and you'll find yourself with a damaged pony! The gift set Celestia has the 'printed' eyes and cutie mark, which can scratch and become damaged! Heck, a couple ponies I have came with nicks and scratches to their eyes or marks; it happens. What a venomous and vindictive woman. You plainly stated that it was a custom pony.. you did nothing wrong. Plus, there are no factory Lunas in that mold, why would she assume there were? If she was looking for a Luna toy on eBay, she should have noticed a pattern.... She's an idiot, she's cruel for such ill wishes on any children you might have, and I hope child services saves her little girl! I mean.... she let a toddler sit there with a painted toy and scratch it?! Kids are constantly shoving things in their mouths! Granted it's not lead paint, but it's acrylic and ink, those are some chemicals that shouldn't go in the body. Her daughter could have gotten very sick because of her negligence.

I'm sorry you had to deal with that, especially when you're probably feeling a lot of stress to begin with. I hope this is the last you hear from this woman, and that things start looking up for you so you can concentrate on taking care of yourself and your kid.

Update! She actually messaged me again saying:
Opps I just read the listing-I'm new to ebay.
But she never answered when I asked her if she would do a revision on the fb, so I'm guessing the message was after she got her hand slapped by ebay. I've replied to the neg and will just try to move on. As long as she doesn't open a case I can live with the negative- I have enough pos that the occasional crazy doesn't hurt too badly. I;m SOOO grateful for all of your support here! I <3 real pony people.

did she even apologize? that sort of behavior is just nuts... new to ebay or not.. you simply dont buy things online and not read a description, much less the heading and then just flip right out when you dont get what you expected? i mean it SAYS custom right in the title :/ ahg that is just crazy! id have probably started crying lol if i had gotten that message, and then on top of that learned that something i worked hard on was destroyed.

There is absolutely NO excuse for the way she treated you.
I hope it helps in some small way to know that NOBODY who reads what the auction says and what she wrote will be on her side at all... NOBODY!!
It's not like the fact that she is a custom is hidden in a wall of text, or that you tried to elude to the fact that it was a rare hasbro made pony.. it says it right in the title and it's EXTREMELY obvious that it is a custom!
She destroyed YOUR property, therefore she gets no refund. Period!

I am absolutely scandalised by that message! Even if you cheated her out of a million dollars, no normal person should allow themselves to send such a message! That is the vilest thing I've read in a long time :(:( Your custom is lovely and I'm so sorry it didn't get appreciated and that it ended up with this entity! No body deserves such a treatment ESPECIALLY when they didn't do anything wrong :hug:

I think it's like when a seller excludes a country, you just can't see the items if you're logged in.

Yes, it will tell them. I forget how the message goes exactly but it definitely gets flagged up if you are blocked. There is also an option once they are blocked that you can set so they can't contact you either. It's actually quite handy for buyers as nasty as this.

You have beautiful ponies and you always describe them very clearly in your descriptions, just like you did with your custom Luna.

And you will be a wonderful mother, and I'm sure it will be her children who have horrible futures because if she is willing to spend almost $60 on a pony for her 3 year old...then I think she may just have a very spoiled child on her hands!!!
You just focus on your new baby and the fair, let that just fall away from your thoughts, and smile, for you are definately better than her!
But think how embarressed she was when she actually took the time to read the description!!! Bet she felt like a dumb a$$!!!
