As the title says I’m having trouble getting my hands on a G1 Spike to use with my G1 Ponies, and I was wondering if G4 Spike would be a better stand in till I can get my hands on a G1 Spike.

I might get extra G4 Spikes for the princess Dragons painting them of course.

Well at least he wouldn’t look weird like the G1 Spike figure the head was too big and it didn’t look like cartoon G1 Spike.

Course. There's no hard fast rules about anyone in your collection except what the individual makes. Do whatever you want.

That's the animator's mistake, rather than Hasbro's, really. I'm not a fan of G3 or G4 Spike (esp. not G3) but I have to admit I am not so fond of the G1 one either. Prefer the princess dragons.
Look forward to seeing your G4 princess dragons if you get to making some. G4 spike seems quite common :D

Trouble is 10 cm Spike might be too big for the ponies, so I was wondering if I should get 3.5 cm one

Fun! Which Dragon Attendant are you gonna do? My G4 Spike became Fiery. I'd like to grab a few more to make Prickles and Smokey.

Well the two I’m hoping to get from eBay.uk are going to be Flash and Smokey.
