I admit it, I am a blind bag addict. I was browsing ebay and I saw the transparent with painted hair wave packaged up! The want I have for these guys is off the charts. So, has anyone seen anything besides Waves 1, 3, and 4 in America? I know we're expecting the purple crystal empire bags and the yellow wedding ones.

Also, BonBon is named Sweetie Drops. :blink: Lame. They named her Bonbon in the Gameloft game, though. I don't really count toys as canon, though. Look at Daisy, who was named Flowerwishes, Rose, who was named Roseluck, and Caramel, who was named Chance a Lot. lol

Oh that is just adorable. Lily of the Valley grew in our yard where I grew up and it was the prettiest.

Well, the show writers didn't really seem to think much about name copyrights/trademarks (not sure how it is called) . Hence why Trixie had to be named "Trixie Lulamoon" and Diamond Tiara turned into "Diamond Dazzle Tiara". Also, there is another male pony who looks almost the same as Caramel. Anyways, i love this wave of blindbags. I decided to stop collecting them but these are just too nifty not to pick some up. Though are those male ponies really all the same color?

Ugh, why do they have to be translucent? I'd be getting them if they wre like the regular blind bag figures, but much like the metallic, glowy and other strangeness they have started doing, the fact these don't match the regular figures bugs me. I don't recall see-through ponies in the show.

They have had transparent ponies since the first wave of blind bags.
I don't recall see-through ponies in the show.

Yay now we know names! (I'm having a hard time reading a couple of them though) Now we just need #s. Though I'm so buying the whole case of these so I don't even care.
Sweetie Drops is an odd name. I'm gonna still call her Bon Bon.
Super excited for Apple Fritter. I wonder if that barber one will show up in the cartoon. Kind of an unique character to not.

I like the transparent look. I wish we got more bag variety here. And remember, crystal empire and this is a toyline for kids, not bronies.
I really hope there won't be a lot of backlash and anger over the little candy pony toy.
Poor Fluttershy. They can't make her a new mold but they make new ones for the Wonderbolts.

Yay, but I still need the yellow/wave 5, darker purple/wave 6 and now light bluish grey/wave 7. Must track them all down. Hope someone figures out the names and numbers soon. Love new blind bag even of it is hard keeping up with getting all of them. It is also fun.

So the Wonderbolts were Crystal Ponies huh? That argument makes no sense. If it were the new crystal characters that were translucent then it would make sense, but these are just annoying. Why release a toy of a character that looks normal in the show only as an inaccurate gimmicky translucent toy? Ugh. Oh well, money saved at least.

When they put the characters in the show, they release them to Hasbro.
I swear Sibsy or someone posted about this...somewhere, but it might be hard to dig up.

Nah, everyone seems to be fine about Bonbon. I could actually see it being her real name. My headcanon for :muffin: Pony is that her real name is Ditzy Doo and :muffin: Pony's just a nickname. Sweetie "Bonbon" Drops. ;) The ones I'm looking forward to the most though is Apple Fritter (her eyes are so cute!) and Holly Dash, an ex OC.

I like the translucent-ness. Who cares if it isn't present in the show? The show and the toys don't have to match exactly. Man, you should've seen the G1 Transformers toys. Almost none of them looked like their show versions in robot mode. They even replaced Spike Witwicky with "Buster Witwicky" in the TF comic, IIRC . . . But so what? The toys were fun, the show was fun, and the comics were fun. Different appearances/continuity didn't "ruin" them.
Not everything has to match exactly, or fit into one big continuity. Use your imagination and come up with your own explanation for why the ponies are translucent.

I love that we have official Hasbro names for these characters - mind you as she has similar symbols I wouldnt have objected to Bon Bon being Bon Bon as per her G1 incarnation but I so like Sweetie Drops as well so I guess for me thats her name...in fact I love most of the new names and I love the transparent ponies!

I don't mind getting official names--ultimately I will call the pony whatever I feel like anyway, so . . . :biggrin:
That said, I think "Sweetie Drops" is pretty awful. Not because of a feeling like "OMG HOW DARE YOU NOT MARKET HER AS BONBON" or anything like that, but just because it just seems kind of generically uninspired. To be honest I feel that way about a lot of post-G1 names.
But it could be worse. At least she is not "Blushie".

I just noticed these were called 2013 Series 02 which I thought was the name of the dark purple bags. So I decided to check all of the blind bags that haven't been released yet and noticed they changed the listing for the light green bags and they are now listed as 2012 Series 03 with a release date of November. So I guess that means they might pop up any time now.

Well, the dark purple bags that were last on pre-order HAVE shipped. I've got them on my desk right now. Minuette is as beautiful as I hoped.

Okay after trying to figure out how to get my hands on all 3 wave I do not have I have come to the conclution that I need to order the star/dark purple wave for Christmas and pre-order the yellow wave as well. Than I can wait on this new wave for a little while. I just do not like being so far behind in collecting them. At least I have waves 1-4 and all 4 set that are currently out. There are just to many blind bags to collect and I do not think they are stpping any time.

It's strange that they look that way in the picture. The leaks we've seen, the cherry guy (can't make out his name) is brown with brown hair, the barber is clear (white) with black hair, and Lucky Clover is a dark grey. I hope they didn't decide to change them and make them all the same. I don't know why they would. I think it must just be the lighting washing their colors out.
