I'm planning on making my first adoptable to share, but I'm not sure what the appropriate file size is? Could you please advise? Or can people just resize my file themselves?
-
Hmm, well per Arena rules, sigs must fit within an area of 500 pixels LONG and 200 pixels HIGH and the total sig "weight" has to be less than 60k. Does that help at all? I know adoptables are popular to use as sigs.

check out other people's adopts and right click and copy them, then when you open photoshop and go to "new" you can select "clipboard" as your dimensions and it will automatically scale it to that size. You now have a blank canvas with the same dimensions as that person's adopt. I do this when I want to make something the standard size because numbers usually get mixed up in my head. Hope that helps!

Thanks guys. :) That's helpful.
I will try doing that copy paste thing. I'm only just learning how to use Photoshop properly.

I've made adoptables that were bigger than the 'sig' sizes and also offered them as a signature size :)

This assumes people have their signatures the right size to begin with and it wont ensure your adoptable weight is correct unfortunately :P
I would stick with either creating them larger and allowing people to resize to fit or trying to finish them to the max of 500 wide x 200 high, 60kb total :)

That's true. I forgot the arena doesn't immediately stop you from uploading too big sigs
EDIT: you can always do that with mine, it seems to be the right size since I've had it almost a year.

I'm having trouble reducing the size but keeping the quality...I reduced the size so it should make a fine avatar, but I think people will have to resize themselves for sigs.

I personally find easy to get wrong the size and weight, so having it be arena-approved size from the get go would probably be best if you could manage it! (most people just make them huge though and leave it for others to resize)

Awww...he is adorable! I will certainly be watching for those adopts!

They're up!!! ;)
