I know this has been brought up in the Corral thread, but I think we need a thread here to keep track of what's going on.

Apparently TRU shipped ponies out to the stores before fulfilling preorders. Now people are getting this email:

What was the date that you pre-ordered on?  I am asking because I ordered mine on July 14th and I have not received an email....yet.

you know, I bet Hasbro orders theirs from their suppliers just like stores do. I am not totally sure, if the delay is their fault?

The preorder was through TRU, not Hasbro. Toys r us has already released these to be sold in stores yet all preorders are back ordered. :/

I got that email as well.  Might not ever pre-order from them again if this is how they play.  It is better to stalk the stores than to possibly have your order canceled and not get one because you pre-ordered.

Well, that settles it; no preorders from TRU for me, unless it won't be sold in stores for some reason. They did this with the MH werecat twin exclusive as well. They didn't email any cancellation offers, but none of the people who pre-ordered got them until they'd been in most stores for a week or so. I thought it was a fluke at the time, but it looks like it might be a pattern.

I'm sorry to hear you guys are having this issue :(

I emailed TRU, and that's not something I normally do. I'm not a complainer, but unless they ship a truckload of them to the TRU near me (and by near, I mean almost an hour away), I probably won't be able to get up there in time to get one.

So I just went to Toys R Us and asked about Zecora and the collector's/ fan favorite set. Not only had nobody seen either one, but neither was even in the system yet. All the other current toys were out, including Cadance, Whitelestia, and all the other wedding toys. I am super disappointed, and I feel really bad for those of you with preorders. :(

Oh that is awful :( I have preordered from TRU 5 or 6 times in the past and had that happen 3 of those times. The worst part was 2 of those 3 times I got a follow up email saying the item was not available for shipping anymore. That just sucks :( so sorry everyone.

I ordered mine on the 12th also and haven't received the email. I did call them and they informed me they are on back order and no idea when they will be getting shipped.

What I don't understand is how are they already in stores if they're back ordered? It's a confusing mess. I'm going to try to find one today at my local TRU if I do, I'm going to cancel my order, especially since I already paid because I used paypal.

They are backorder because they shipped the orders to the stores to stock I bet

Yeah, seems like they shipped to stores first although my TRU only had 2 ponies!! It's been like that for over a week now :( They should've filled pre orders, then shipped to the stores.

I ordered mine on July 13th, but I haven't yet received such an email (yet)...

Guess I'll need to keep an eye out at my TRU, too. I'm kind of disappointed in them, though... They never did carry that Pinkie Pie ornament last Christmas, and their stock is usually quite lackluster. :(

I hear ya, Bergamonth, that TRU is frustrating in its lack of mlp content sometimes. >.< (I think we're thinking of the same one, anyway haha)

I didn't pre-order one, figuring I'd be able to find her on shelves. I hope there's plenty of stock for everyone, especially for the poor people who pre-ordered. :(

Im on the phone with Toys R Us, or rather, just oot off the phone with them and I have some info that may help people.

I was just told that the favorites collectors set, which I preordered, is unavailable. They do not have any for sale on their website, and they don't have any in stock to ship. But she told me I can print out my confirmation email of the preorder and take it into the store and show it to them and they will give me my item.

So Im about to try that, IF my store even has any in stock anymore. I am so peeved. I didn't even order this for myself. Im just helping out another arena member.

I'll let you know how it goes if it works.

I'm confused: does this assume the store might have some Favorites Collection sets on hand but not purchasable without a preorder printout? I don't see why that would happen. If they have them, they would sell them and you wouldn't need the preorder printout.

And they better not be completely out of the Favorites Collection at the warehouse, since none of the stores in Utah have even received any yet (as far as I know via calling and having them check the computer every few days).

The sets are On the shelf for sale. I only know what the woman at the 800 help number called me. It rather made me upset. I do not like to be told that my item is not available. They offered me a refund because they did not have it available.

If the sets are on the shelf for sale, can't you just cancel the preorder and buy it off the shelf (thus saving the shipping cost)?

I guess this is my confusion: does this bolded part mean 'give for free' or 'allow me to purchase'?

Ok. That ordeal was done. And I meant that that they would fulfill the preorder at the store. Not that I get a free item.

Here is what happened.

The set is unavailable in the warehouse. They do not know when it will ship for preorders because it is currently on backstock. It is not listed in the online order inventory list. Same situation as zecora.

Your credit card does not get charged till it ships. But because it has been so long, the hold placed on your credit card has likely been removed. I paid by PayPal and this is what happened. There was no notification of it happening.

So you have not paid for the items that you preordered by this point. If you cancel it you don't have to wait for money to be refunded because it isn't gone.

If the item is in a store near you, but it and cancel your preorder because they don't know when they will be able to mail the items out anyway. I aske her
For a date and she said she had no way of knowing.

I am so super upset at toys r us right now. Add me to the list of people who will never order online from them again.

I'm upset as well. I reordered the favorites collection when it FIRST went up for Preorder before the BOGO was even available. Still no notification and no email. Tonight my grandmother is going christmas decoration shopping and I'm going with her. The only Toys R Us around is an hour or more away and very very limited everytime I make the trek. :/ And Bronley was so kind to Preorder zecora when the site didn't work...now I'm worried that too will be avoided by TRU. T_T

Oh my god how horrible! The TRU here is usually lovely (good stock and very kind staff), but I am staying far away from any and all TRU "preorders". I'm absolutely disgusted by this behavior. I don't even understand why they would do this. They get paid for preorders too, why completely blow them off?!

i'm a little annoyed myself i preordered it (well i had soemone preoder it for me)  to my knoldege we havn't gotten a  email.. yet. but ths is just ugh.. i doubt i will ever prorder form them agian.. i ive nowher near a TRU.

I got the email of doom too:(.  Steph, it looks like we ordered ours on the same day, so hopefully you will actually get yours.  My TRU has nothing new, same old stock they've had for months now, so it looks like I might miss out on Zecora.

Wonder why I didn't get a backorder notice for the favorites collection?
My favorites collection order I placed with the BOGO- will they honor the bogo at the store?
Also, everyone please be vocal about this! we want this company to be aware of the mistake and great injustice they are doing!

I still haven't received an update on Zecora since the email I got informing me that she was on backorder but I did just receive notification that my Collector Series Favorites collection would be shipping asap so that is a step in the right direction at least.

Yes, my fan favorite set is located in stock and will be shipping soon (my white Celestia shipped a few days ago I think it'll be here today). I ordered it way back in June so they are probably going through and working on shipping all the preorders out, they probably have a lot of backlog because of the buy one get one free deal they did in July.  No word on Zecora yet.

I just got the order confirmation from TRU for the favorites collection too! First thing this morning I had the email saying it was backordered, just like Zecora.  They probably felt my head explode from TRU headquarters.

How's this for strange:
Got "delayed with no ship date, will cancel in 30 days" on Favorites Collection 1 @ $39.99
and got "Shipped notification" on Favorites Collection 1 @ $0.00 (+$11.19 taxes and shipping)

So, they shipped the free half of my BOGO Free order.  :cool:

Kinda hope they do auto-cancel the normal-price half...

I got the Email of Doom overnight. It was kind of lame thing to wake up to! :(

I think we should all contact TRU and tell them that we're disappointed.

Regardless, I wouldn't suggest pre-ordering from TRU again without knowing the risks one is taking...  They're on the Traderlist now, though.  :(

Still.. That's 5 days of waiting on a preordered, backorder item. They chose to stock stores first rather than fulfill preorders.. Thats enough in my book to keep me from ordering from them again, the stinkers.

Been stalking my TRU and nothing on both Zecora and the Favorites Collection. Talked to CS at the store and she said they hadn't gotten them in yet.

Managed to order 1 Zecora but it's back ordered.

I have my tracking number! And it's going to the old place >_<  I knew TRU would screw that up.  Oh well, at least I'm going back to the old place on Saturday to dig up my plants and move them.  Hopefully UPS will either verify the forwarding address or just leave Zecora on the porch and she'll be there on Saturday.

I went to my TRU yesterday, they had 6 Zecoras. I didn't pick one up, simply because mine should be here Tuesday. It's irritating though. Looks like UPS turned my package over to the postal service to finish the delivery. I hate that, its annoying. If I pay for UPS I expect UPS. blah!

Exactly what I knew would happen did- I was just refunded for Zecora.  The arrived at the old post office and instead of forwarding her, they sent her back to TRU.  Good thing I found Zecora in store and snagged a couple!

Mine came the other day randomly. I'd given up since we'd heard nothing from TRU.
