I just saw this on an instagram feed- maybe it is old news to you guys but OMG I NEED THESE PONIEEEESS!
(I should add the photo is from Toyfair)
Who do you guys think the pink with blue hair is? Seems to be firefly's coloring but in a flat foot pose? Not sure who it is as I can't see the symbol but I don't care.

Oh well, even with a green-haired minty and wingless Firefly (making them kinda look like fakies) I will definitely try to get them when I see them. I'm always looking for toys for my dolls, and these are the perfect scale :D

Beyond the ratio -- Since the item is small, the packaging needs to advertise and probably has to be the same size as the other products they put out (which vary in size -- but all are in the same size clamshell).
I'm going to take a guess those two things are the driving force behind the packaging size.

Oh my god I love how tiny it is! It’s a little itty bitty little pony for barbies to play with. I do hope they remove some of the packaging. Seems like a lot for something so tiny.

Minty's hair in green on one of the G1 brochures, I wonder if they were looking at that! Although I've also seen a World's Smallest prototype where her hair is white. Either way I'm excited! These are going to be pony toys for my baby ponies!

I love these, they're so itty bitty and cute! Agree that it's a shame with the packaging though :/ I get that they have a standard size or something for their brand and packaging, but it's still an unnecessary amount of plastic that's just going to waste. A cardboard backcard with a blister on front would've been better, and they could easily swap all their packaging to something like that imo :)

These are super cute! I don't like the packaging, though. I do understand why it's so big but I hate throwing out so much plastic. I'm probably just going to leave them unopened.

Maybe the packaging will be smaller- in the building I work in, there is a Bartell drug store that sells "World's Smallest" stuff and it comes in little boxes blind bag style. It could be how they release these, although personally I'd rather see what I am buying rather than get 6 wingless fireflies!
Sounds like there is a total of 12 coming- I hope that is true!

when i was a kid i always thought minty had green hair, i was actually a bit disappointed to find out she had white hair when i started collecting as an adult, so i wouldn't mind have one with green hair :D either way is fine with me
btw omg i soooooooooooo can't wait for these, im bursting at the seems.
i too hate the unnecessary unrecyclable plastic waist but im in too minds to get them out or keep them in there, maybe have to get double ups if i can. they may not make it to New Zealand like most WST so might be hard to get hold of.

I doubt they are going to be blind bags. I've seen the packaging for world's smallest for other items (including Barbie) when walmart had them. Yes some of it is space wasting but at the same time smaller packaging will get lost or more easily stolen.

Haven't seen them on Amazon, but since the company that makes these things is accepting orders (like big orders) it probably won't be long until they appear elsewhere. The owner of the shop shows a Momoko playing with them- that is a doll that is somewhat smaller than Barbie- so as I had hoped they are very small :D
Looks like "rooting" on the mane is a little weird, and of course Minty has green hair after all and Firefly still wingless- but Snuzzle and Butterscotch are cute- and frankly I just really like that they are teeny little G1s.

The rooting looks like the slot rooting you see on Dream Beauties . . . Maybe the 'usual' MLP rooting method looked odd on the tiny ponies (since each individual hair plug would be really big compared with the size of the pony's neck, lol).
They are so tiny! My baby ponies can't wait to have little pony toys to play with . . . :P

Yeah, that was probably it- I guess they just made a slot to push one flattened plug through essentially, haha considering the photo is blown up x500 or something, it may not be quite so noticeable in hand (well, at least not to those of us who are 40 and up, haha)
too bad they didn't fix the tail-pooping issue, but overall they are pretty cute :D

Now I want them too... sadly I've never come across this brand anywhere in Europe... an eBay seller sells the full set and ships internationally, but the prices seem a little inflated (compared to some shops that carry them), especially with the GSP which is their chosen shipping method, and with that I'd definitely be hit by customs too... I'll keep on looking (and sent a message to a shop that has them and state that they are willing to ship internationally).
Those of you who have seen them IRL, how much do they cost in shops?

They really are SO small. Here is a comparison pic. The tail placement isn't so odd once they are in hand- they are just SO SMALL. 1/3 the size of a DollyMix!

OK, I just caved in and bought all 3 sets from Dream in Plastic (http://dreaminplastic.com/worlds-smallest-my-little-pony/) (the shop I messaged earlier. They were super helpful and quick in providing me a quote, and the order process was smooth). They were selling them for $6 each, and international postage (and the total price too) was much more reasonable than that of the eBay seller. I cannot wait to get them :3
Galactica, that picture is super helpful and cool, thanks for sharing! :) May I ask who the Moondancer with the molded hair is? She looks super beautiful!
As for the tail replacement, may it be that the odd looks can be fixed with a little styling? The placement sure looks odd, but (based on pictures) what makes it really appear odd is not the actual placement, but that it comes straight out of their bums, rather than at an angle/doesn't have that usual 'first upward then downward' arch.

Thank you ^^ I got a confirmation from the local foreign bookshop, Glory is available for ordering via them, so I just ordered her through their webshop :) There was even some online discount, so the total price came out to less than 7 USD, which seems a great price to me considering they have to import it. I cannot wait for all the mini ponies currently making their ways to me :frolic:
[ETA: they were quick! She was still available as leftover stock, it seems, as shortly after placing my order I got a confirmation that my order is ready to be picked up :shocked: I just came back from the bookshop, and OH BOY, she's even smaller than I thought *.* :lovey: ]
Firefly though... this version of her does look odd (I don't have any issue with her normal version, and I like her pose). Mini-she (or at least her head) has weird proportions that are different from the original G1 mold, which is especially frustrating because some stock photos do show her as an exact mini replica of the original. Like this (picture not mine):

Yeah, her head is slightly turned to face the camera, but the proportions are different even when she's positioned to match the original pose (based on actual product photos I've seen on eBay, for example). I believe the first picture is just a made-up stock photo, not one taken of the actual product.

I'm pretty sure the stock photo is an actual G1 Firefly, just photoshopped up a bit. Still irritated that they never updated the stock photos after the product was actually released.

It really is too bad about that mini Firefly- we all wanted the mini replica version, not the fakie. I don't know what went wrong there, but I am glad they got it right with Glory.
I wish they'd do another one..

Got all three sets of the World's smallest ponies today! Already sculpted tiny wings for firefly since I can't bring myself to leave her wingless ^^; Can't wait to paint the wings so she'll look complete

It's just so weird - prototyping is so easy now, all they had to do was scan the original and shrink the size- like they obviously did with Glory. So weird that they picked a fakie mold rather than the original when they had the license and everything. Ah well. I sure hope they make more...
In the meantime, these "world's smallest" ponies are pretty awesome. It would be nice if they figured out how to do unicorns and pegs.

My sets have also arrived - one of the lovely surprises I come back to from our holiday (and this one even had lovely packaging - thank you Dream in Plastic! ^^) :) I haven't yet found the appropriate time to open them up (this may sound weird, but I want to enjoy the moment and have time to inspect them :P ), but I snagged a pic of them together with Glory, who has since found a fitting space on my desk ^^ The WS minies will most likely find their places on a doll shelf, I find the idea of my dolls also having ponies too adorable ^.^

The Target app is showing that the Minty and Firefly set is in "limited stock" in my store. I hope they're still there when I get to the store.

I found them at Target also along with the new retro Earth Ponies. :) I noticed some kind of residue on the Minty/Firefly set and Butterscotch/Snuzzle set. I will try to get at least one set as I would love to own them.

I ordered three from Target's site hoping to get a full set, but I ended up with an extra Cotton Candy set and don't have the Firefly set yet. Oh well, I'll look for them in stores.

I found all 3 at my local "mini" Target and they were not where you would expect them to be. They were on the side of an end display unit with random miniature toy stuff in the baking aisle. So here is how I found mine, so hopefully this helps other people find some.
Step 1) Go to Targets website and type in World's Smallest My Little Pony
Step 2) On the right side where it says all the ordering information choose "find other stores" and click the box that says "only show in stock stores"
Step 3) Look for a store that shows some as being in stock or things like "only 2 left"
Step 4) Go to the store listed and you may have to ask an employee where to find them since they were in a weird spot.
On a side note, my mini Target only had "2 left in stock" online but when we went they actually had all 3, so I lucked out.

Sadly I'm usually the other way round with low stocks: when the system shows something I want as still in stock and I go to the store (or order online), it often turns out that the system was just incorrect and they already sold the stuff and forgot to take it off -_- Happened a number of times already, up to the point that when I find an older item I want shown as "in stock", I already proactively fear this outcome. The worst experience I had with this is when once I visited France, and on the last day almost did a 3-hour trip (and almost skipped part of checking out Paris instead) just to get to a store that was supposed to have 16(!) boxes of a Monster High doll set I wanted. Thankfully I know my luck and requested a store assistant (working in the store where I got the info) to call that store and have one of their assistants put one away for me, and it turned out they didn't have a single one left anymore, despite the system saying they have plenty... tood bad, as it was the Love in Scaris set, it would have been so cool to find it in Paris.

Last week my local Target had all 3 of the World's Smallest Ponies sets in stock. They were in the toys area but a few aisles away from the G4 and retro ponies. I thought they would still be in stock this week but all of the pony sets were gone. :cry:

Don't even need an app. Can check on target.com on both desktop and mobile and it tells you the aisle (if tell it what store you wanna check).
<_<; I've been finding looking up items on the phone first is really useful -- since target is trending have the .com price lower then store on certain items.

I didn't realize you could use the website also to see if they were in store. My Target hasn't restocked any of the World's Smallest toys yet.

My Target was showing these in "limited stock" today. I found one set of Snuzzle and Butterscotch but not the other to sets. They were on an endcap with other World's Smallest toys.

I found 2 of them today, but not the one with Minty which of course was the one I wanted the most. If anyone has an extra Minty pack, please drop me a PM. They were on the side of the end cap in the toy section in both Targets I checked.

I checked 2 Targets today. One listed them as "limited stock" but I couldn't find them an the endcaps where they should have been. the endcaps were pretty trashed though and even sorting through the mixed up toys on the shelves I didn't see them. The other store was out of stock.

I have better luck if I find one of the people stocking or changing prices- who has one of those inventory guns- they can enter the DCPI number and tell you EXACTLY how many there are in the store and most are willing to search around in the back for you too :D

I checked my store again today and even though the app still says they're in stock and most of the World's Smallest toys have been reorganized and placed back on the right pegs, I still cannot find them in the store. I didn't see any employees working in Toys today.

My store finally either found the missing sets or got more in there were 2 WS MLP sets today. :) It looked like both were Cotton Candy and Bluebelle though.

Wandered most of the toy area. No FIM anywhere. Couple of the Basic ponies. One WS Minty!!!!! Yes, I gasped. Yes, they came home and the cosmic all is good. Now to make sure Lily cat does not walk off with them...

I never did see them at my Target either- (probably because they are so small and I just didn't look careful enough) but there do seem to be plenty of online sites now that have them so I got them anyway :D

I just checked Target.com; no wonder I can't find them... none within 20 miles of here. It literally says they're not in store at the local one. Thought the local grocery store that usually has this brand might have them; none as well. Sad sad sad.

I finally, FINALLY, found these today after searching multiple stores for weeks, and I only found two sets. I left behind Butterscotch and Snuzzle because Butter had a spot on her face and was missing the top part of her mane, so it looks like she has a hole in her forehead. I did buy Firefly and Minty, but I'm disappointed that Minty's mane isn't white and Firefly doesn't have wings.
