Happy nearly Christmas everyone! It's that time of year again! My annual art comp!
I think most of you will know the way it works by now. Sign-up's for both comps close on 16th November!
Rules
Pick one of the days to draw by either messaging below or PMing me your choice or day or carol if you're entering that one. There are no pre-set Carols
Draw your MLP interpretation of that day in the song e.g. 5 gold rings or Silent Night etc etc.
You can use any medium you choose but the pics must include MLP in, though they can be an generation, real or customs.
PM your finished pic to me by the closing date (below) after which they will go up for voting on here via a poll.
No showing off your pics anywhere else online until after the vote, just so the vote is the first time everyone sees them all.
Mostly, have fun and you may enter into both if you wish. It is a lot of work though, so be warned.
The closing dates for both comps is December 16th, so you'll have a month from sign-ups closing, but don't let that stop you starting earlier.
As usual, there will be some pony goodies for the winner in both comps, though it's more about the fun of seeing all the awesome entries :biggrin:

I wonder if I can do the Christmas Children scene from the musical Scrooge the musical, since I'm doing 12 Days of Christmas Attack on Titan style (got the seventh day of Christmas segment already: Seven turned down dates).
How big does the picture have to be? Since its going to take six pages of paper two for the song and four for the scene (don't have any A3 paper).

Size wise, it doesn't matter physically eg A4, A5, A3 etc etc. As long as you're able to PM a picture of the whole thing to me and not lots of separate pics as that makes the voting thread harder to set up. I'll add you on for now. Keep me up to date how it goes.
That's two entries for each comp now, lets see if we can get this filled in a week early :-)

I've already done the lyrics one and a half pages on lined paper (my hand writing is messy if I don't use lined paper).
Got that ready and I'm planning on which three ponies I'm choosing (that's going to take a while).
If I don't start this early I'll run out of time. (I hope you don't mind).
Only things I'll put on the picture will presents, food, hypnotic eyes for part of the song, and the three main ponies who sing the song.

There's a week to go ponies? We normally fill this one up quite quick :-) Lets get some sign ups so we at least have a full lot of 12 Days pics.

You don't need to say who you'll be drawing....its more of a surprise when everyone sees them all that way :-)

Hello! I have a quick question before I begin. I can draw the idea I have, but I would like to try making it in blender 3D, as I will gain modelling and lighting practice from this. I was wondering if making the art in a 3D program would be an acceptable medium? I can work either way, but I wanted to know before making anything.

Come on ponies, lets get this filled up. I think we've always filled it every year, it'll be a shame if we don't this year. Only about 7 or 8 more for the 12 Days pics. I really is worth it. Or is there not enough people around these days?

Some people are just so busy to do these sort of things. Maybe some of the ones who're doing these can take another one to do as well.

Good job. Have added you to the comp. You can PM your first pic to me if you like or wait until nearer December 16th in case you feel you want to make changes. It's up to you.

finished the sketch for my picture and I really like how it turned out. got details and inking to do, but maybe get it scanned in to color on monday. very excited to join this year!

It's technically the last day for sign-ups today. However, if you would like to join the 12 Days Comp after that you're welcome as long as you can get it back to me no later than December 16th. I will close the carol one after today though.

They will be up later today. Sadly it looks like we'll be one short in the 12 Days one as I've not hear from the artist...also, they haven't been on the arena since 6th December.
