Just wondering. I'm a pretty huge fan of the TV show The Big Bang Theory and I was wondering if anyone else is too. This also doubles as a discussion thread for talking about episodes and characters. So, my favorite episode so far is The Beta Test Initiation since it was pretty funny to see Raj fall in love with his phone. My favorite character is Sheldon, though Penny is a close 2nd.

I think its the funniest show to ever emerge from the US. My hubby & I just love it!! Sheldon is the best, I'd love to see some bloopers one day, I dunno how they can keep straight faces sometimes :D

My favorite show EVER! Finally a show for us nerds! A show where I get all the jokes and understand every referenc, except the physics, lol. Just wonderful. My boyfriend and I spent a week just watching all episodes up to season 5! I am in so much love of Sheldon! I couldn't stand to live with him for a second but watching him torture his friends and not even knowing about it is priceless. One of my boyfriends friends is a bit like him and I would LOVE to put these two in the same room and just watch what happenes.
My favorite episode is when Sheldon is sick. I don't know how many times I've seen it, it's equally funny every time. And the one where they're out camping and looking for a meteorite or what it is and get offered "special cookies" by their neighbours. I laughed sooo hard!

YES! I love it! I've been a fan since day one. I send random text messages to my brother with quotes. Like the other day I sent: "I informed you thusly." It was during a Wheaton episode. Those have been some of the most hilarious ones too. :P

Sheldon's gotta be the most hilarious character on tv. xD The way he delivers his lines is brilliant.

I love Raj too.
I've been meaning to watch the whole series all the way through, just gotta finish up with Dexter. :nerdy:

You know what character I find hilarious that isn't one of the main characters?...Zach (Penny's ex-boyfriend). LoL he cracks me up.

I love it, but it makes me feel like a geek! The other day, an episode starts with Howard saying "I am telling you for the last time, Wolverine was not born with bone claws!" and at the exact same time, Sheldon and I said "Yes he was!"
It is great to have a sitcom for "smart people"

Agreed! The few episodes they had him on were too much. Every time I see them I'm on the floor laughing. :P

I love this show! It is so funny! I'm watching through the series but am not done with season 4 yet. Haven't seen any of season 5.
It's so hard to chose a favorite character! They are all so funny. Every episode makes me laugh so much. I love when Sheldon is pretending to be the Flash. "ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM!!" And when he goes to the grand canyon to yell out his frustrations "I'm going" *step* "I'm back" :lol:

Yeah, that's one of my few issues with it (the other being I wish the episodes were longer). The laughing is kind of distracting at times. Especially when characters kiss and they go, 'ooooohhhhhhh!'. XD

I love this show to DEATH, I'm always excited for Thursday nights :D seems we've got a ton of BBT fans on the Arena ^^ Not surprising, it's a hilarious show.

OMG! I love this show! Its my fav show right now--I can't get enough. My fav episode is "The Zazzy Substitution" b/c Sheldon has a cat named Zazzles--lol. My fav character is Leonard, but I really love all the characters. The show has great writing and casting. I always get that "Soft Kitty" song in my head when they sing it on the show--lol. My goal is to buy all the DVD sets.

I love the show too, it's one of the best on tv right now! Sheldon is one of the best characters ever created! Can't think of a fave moment as they are all great! I love how Sheldon knocks 3 times all he time, lol!

It's a trap XD yes, it is one of my guilty pleasures. I love penny, seriously, she is gorgeous and funny as, sheldon is a close second for me, he is funnier yes, but not quiet as cute as penny ^^ we often have big bang marathons at my place. I just can't wait for season 5 to hit the shelves, I really want the dvds, I have seasons 1 - 4, and getting pretty antsy to get my hands on 5, but know it won't be coming out until around september / october this year :(

Honestly, when my family first started watching this show I hated it, but now I've learned to enjoy it. I think the episode that changed my mind was the one where Howard built a robotic hand and got it stuck around... um... a very tender area. I laughed so hard I wept.
"Sorry sir, we don't have a code word for that."
I think Leonard is my favorite, and Amy. The characterization in this show is awesome.
I also love Howard's mother. My family does the shouting thing too, so when it gets too intense I start imitating her voice and I yell quotes right back at them.

I love it! Sadly they seem to show quite a few reruns in SA, but I've seen a lot of episodes and I can confidently say that Sheldon is my favourite character :D

Big Bang Theory is kinda like the family show for me.
My parents and I always love to watch it together whenever it is on.

I love the show because I went to classes with people and professors just like the cast. Sometimes when there is a physics joke, I'll have to explain it to my hubby. Otherwise, BBT was me in college.

I never really gave it the time of day before recently and would typically change the channel whenever it came on. It's become one of my staple sitcoms now that a friend kept urging me to watch it from the beginning and it slowly grew on me. I love Sheldon, I think he's hilarious.
My boyfriend's parents are both physicists and we're into a lot of nerd pop culture, so we always get a kick out of the jokes.
