She's cute! Is is just me or is her eye ENORMOUS? I know they are the opened ones and not the semi-closed ones. But those look huge.

The wings look hilariously small! I'm not a fan of the current FS wings (I think the two rows of feathers like on the playful ponies looks cuter) but those just look silly xD And, is it just me or does the new style of her eyes make her looks a lil unhinged?
Other than that, I hope we will get a rainbowfied Fluttershy! I love her rainbow blindbag, and this one has some pretty colours in her mane <3

It looks like the wings went from being too big, to being too small. They honestly remind me of the G4 fakie wings the way they are placed too. I love the extra butterflies and the colours in her mane though (too bad the tail is solid).

Why the glittery make up and the butterflies on her leg? I think that makes her look like when a little girl tries her hand on customizing and puts some stickers and glittery glue on her.

I think it's cool that they're trying something new with the FS wings; the current ones just look to big and solid for me. These do appear little small, and set too far back perhaps? Hmm. I'm looking at screenshots of Fluttershy right now; I think they just... can't quite get the shape of the wings right. G4 wings have that layer of very long feathers, and then the shorter feathers on the bottom. The toy wings just end up being too... rounded? I'm not making sense. :P
Glitter eyeshaddow seems weird to me on any pony. :blink: As for the extra cutie marks, it'd be cool if they were across the body, rather than just down the leg. They look a little odd settled down there. Perhaps if the topmost butterfly on her leg came closer to the bottom of her cutie mark it would look more natural.

For me - pro - ooooohhhhh she is pretty and lovely colours - con - hmmmm another Fluttershy, scary eyes, weird wings.

I like the smaller wings better because they won't get in the way of hair styling, but maybe if they weren't so far down her back. Her eye just looks so surprised, the other one looked nicer, more calm like the Fluttershy we all know and love.

to be honest it doesn't look like a finished product, it looks like a work in progress cos the wings look rough like a rushed mold to see what they look like.
i thought she was a fakie at the first glance at her :lol:
i am very interested in seeing what the hair looks like out of the braids, nice to see such a colour surprised pony

Oh wow- you are right? Maybe they are hoping to cut costs this way? I guess that's why the wing size shrank- it would be very difficult to do a single cast with large wings-
I do like the rainbow glitter hair ... I don't understand the difficulty with the eye...

Why can't they make the G4 FS pegasus wings sprout from the shoulder blades like for the G4 regular brushable Pegasus ponies? The wings will spread out more sideways instead of angled steeply upwards. Unless more spread out wings will need a broader packaging which = higher costs :(

Oh yeah- I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong, but the placement of the wings is very odd. They should be sprouting from her withers, not her back bone. :( Of course the older design has this issue too...

Love the colors, but hate the eye/wing mods. I hope this is not the final product... Hasbro may get a cease and desist from the fakie makers on this one. lol!
Seriously though, I wish they'd create some new molds rather than modifying existing ones. I do not need fatter heads with ridged cheeks or misplaced wings... If Hasbro is going to modify something, I want longer unicorn horns.

Protest time! :P I think we need to band together and all message hasbro, saying we don't want the mane 6 characters over and over and only interested in buying new characters, suggest a collectors line maybe? I mean seriously this is just getting way to out of hand, and as long as we all keep buying the mane 6 re-releases they will keep making them...

I'm not really sure why they couldn't make a pegasus mold with closed wings? Fluttershy hardly has her wings spread out, and if the pony is at rest or has no need for flying, they are usually folded anyway, and it would be easier to style their hair and play with them. Oh well.
Is it just me or do the wings look like they're made out of foam?
And I'll have to see her in person if I decide to get her or not. I do like my own FS Fluttershy better though, so I might not.

The eyes here seem super big (like the Bubbles prototype), but the actual style looks WAY better in person. When I first saw the new design in photos, I was really not a fan, but then I got a new Fluttershy and the eyes are super cute!

And where's the ponywear? We need some separately packaged ponywear like they had in the 80's! I'd go bonkers for that!

This is so true. I mean its not as though the ponies in the cartoon when walking around everywhere have their wings unfolded. Also their poses are so static that its unlikely any of the ponies are "flying" at the time.

I actually love the size of the wings, its the placement that bothers me. They should be sprouting slightly behind her neck, not out of her butt!
The eyes are hideous. I like new eye fluttershy, but they're waay to big.
I think that fabric looks cute, but it'll be a pain in play and styling.

There's the standard, tall stiff wings on all FS's, there's the wings the blinged out Princess Twilight Sparkle has, and here's these clumped up small wings :s
I'd prefer blinged out PTS wings on FS ponies (minus the bling) from here on out :P

I wonder if this kind of hair is supposed to be "better" for styling or something. Like maybe it doesn't tangle as easily or holds styles better or maybe just has a better "feel"?

It is very fluffy textured so it tends to get messed up easier than nylon or saran would- it is also not as shiny. I will try styling it when I get her home (or more like this weekend)- but I've had a few dolls with hair like this over the years, and I have found that it doesn't take a curl very well.

I think you are right Cat- after all, little girls (and pony collectors alike) are suckers for the extra-long hair thing.
I just wish they had gone with super long nylon hair and not substituted it for this fluffy tangly stuff. The kids are going to make a mess of this pony the second she gets out of her package I fear...

Yeah...it sounds oddly inappropriate considering the target market and how it will be played with.
Maybe you will have a prototype? And the real releases will have regular nylon. That would be nice :)

I would love for that to be true- but given the numbers of these turning up, I think they are going to be released any day now just as they are.
I might be sounding overly critical though- the hair is kind of nice in its own way- like fluffy combed yarn. I have some cute customs with the fluffy yarn hair- and I love them! I guess it just seems odd considering , as you said- the target market. Also, I can't help but suspect that they picked this hair to save on production costs...

This Fluttershy honestly doesn't appeal to me at all :( After seeing those photos was a deal breaker for me. I'm not a fan of fabric hair on a pony unless its stuffed :unsure:

Have any of these new FS flutterahy's from taobao been confirmed for release of found in their packaging? I dont know which ones are prototypes or future releases... so far I have seen 3 i am after! I dont know which ones to buy now or wait until they are released if they are confirmed. Im want to collectal variants:
1. FS Fluttershy with big eyes, green and pinks in her mane, weird wings
2. FS Fluttershy with weird wings, big eyes, strange texture hair, fabric wavy pieces in her hair
3. Alicorn Fluttershy, super weird wings.
Have any of these been spotted in rainbow power packages? And can someone PM me a links from Taobao? My phone dpesnt load TB.

No none of them have been spotted in packaging at this time. I am sure a couple of them will be forthcoming though mainly due to the volume they have turned up in.

So I still think that the "wings" above are just misplaced Rarity wings (since it doesn't make sense that they would be the same that Fluttershy gets)
But actually- the large space between the wings and the neck WOULD be perfect for some kind of saddle/accessory- so maybe she will come with something!
I find it a little odd that we still haven't seen these MOC anywhere yet- I wonder if they are going to scrap this pony entirely? (I hope not)

The first number is the year so 3 is 2013 and the next 3 numbers (224) are the day the pony was made, so August 12th I believe if my math is correct and for some reason there is always a 1 at the end....haven't been able to figure that out yet. Hope this helps :)

I don't know about it promising a release. I have some proto's that have a date code and have never come to being a released pony. But the code does help tell you if it was made earlier than the final, retailed released versions were. I know this Fluttershy is going to be in stores soon. If the retailed ones have a different and later date code then maybe these are earlier models/etc?

All it tells us is that its a reasonably recent manufacture unfortunately. Its certainly a better sign than if it was stamped for 2012 or the beginning of this year I think.
However, a lot of the ponies which have turned out to be genuine protos had really early date stamps in comparison to when they turned up on Taobao.
I am going to continue to hold out hope for her. There must me more items for the Rainbow Power line to come surely; there have been very few to date in comparison to the previous lines. Another FS or 2 seems pretty certain.

Yupp the two above posts are exactly right, it's not a guarantee I'll be released. However I'm pretty sure this one will be, especially since Rarity just came out and the rainbow line just started.

I've seen the packaging for Fluttershy. I had come across it like 3 or 4 times but for the life of me, I can't hunt it down again. Keeping my eyes open.
I'll save it if I see it, but right now, I have the rainbowpower brushable pony tests and prototypes coming or already in my possession, and AJ is the only one who was nearly impossible to get. She is also the only one who I haven't seen in a package yet.
Pinkiepie, Fluttershy, Rainbowdash and Rarity are the first four which look to be the first batch out, Twilight I haven't been able to deduce when she is going to release and AJ hasn't had nearly anything done with her. What I see out there is so minimal it makes me wonder why and leads me to think she may have a further out release date.
I'm just wondering how many different new sets/singles will come out at a time.
Will the Ribbonshy Fluttershy appear when the brushables do? Or what? With all the other Rainbowpower line stuff being so easily found before it is out, I think we may get a downpour of these colorful, painted and clown-like sets and singles all at once. Except for AJ and Twi at the moment.

I've seen the packaging for Fluttershy. I had come across it like 3 or 4 times but for the life of me, I can't hunt it down again. Keeping my eyes open.
I'll save it if I see it, but right now, I have the rainbowpower brushable pony tests and prototypes coming or already in my possession, and AJ is the only one who was nearly impossible to get. She is also the only one who I haven't seen in a package yet.
Pinkiepie, Fluttershy, Rainbowdash and Rarity are the first four which look to be the first batch out, Twilight I haven't been able to deduce when she is going to release and AJ hasn't had nearly anything done with her. What I see out there is so minimal it makes me wonder why and leads me to think she may have a further out release date.
I'm just wondering how many different new sets/singles will come out at a time.

Oh you saw Ribbonshy's packaging ?? Did she have any accessories ? Was she wearing anything around her neck ? Just curious to see if that is why the big gap...

If I recall, she had a shiny cape/dress thingy like, well i guess most of the fashion style ponies out now, and hair accessories. But I can't swear on it because I may just be thinking of the diamond rainbow tatooed Rarity and her box. When I see images of sets/singles or whatnot that are not released to my knowledge, I try to see what info/writing is on box and assuming it means something legitimate.
Like distributed in Australia and/or New Zealand. I think I remember reading the distribution country and thinking "so it's getting released in Australia first?"
I guess I don't pay attention to the accessories. I always have to bag up the tiny or cool little stuff so my daughter doesn't lose it before she is old enough to really enjoy some of the pieces . Shoot, wish i paid more attention, lesson learned! lol

Having dealt with Fluttershy's new hair and funky wings, I could see that the gap is there merely to give someone room to style/brush her massive amount of soft, wispy airy hair. Without that gap, I don't want to imagine lol but I guess we'll know for sure eventually!

Well if you (or anyone else) sees one of these in package- I'm very anxious to see what she looks like :D
I didn't love her fluffy hair at first but it really looked fantastic once I combed it out and conditioned the heck out of it- now it's just so pretty :D
