Post by: Bekuno on September 13, 2017, 09:35:45 AM: Hasbro has released a cute new pony maker for the MLP Movie. There's not a ton of customization options, and it generates a name for you, but I wanted to share so you all can post your ponies :D

The function for downloading the generated images does not work correctly, at least not on my phone. It downloaded the same default image for each one, even though I selected the download option for all of them. Here's the defeat image that it downloaded 5 times:

I would definitely like more control over the colors. Plus, I kept ending up using the same mane style because I preferred brighter colors offered over the more subdued colors of the other styles. This was as close as I could get to one of my ponysonas -

I actually kind of love that they limit your color palette, so you can only make ponies that would fit into MLP. So hey, you can make alicorn OCs, but at least you can't make them black and red :P
But... No option for a white snowflake? Boo.

I had a go, and I have to say it's very limited - even the Pony Creators on DeviantArt have more choices than this. After two attempts each at creating two of my ponies, I decided to just do the best with what I had been given, and create a new pony, and I actually did better than I thought.

She has been given the name "Moonstone Glow", which I think sounds pretty decent as a My Little Pony name.

I initially tried (when it seemed like I was limited to mares) to create one of my female ponies, but I couldn't find the right colors or manestyle for her, so then I tried to create a random pony, but found that I could just about create one of my other ponies (the one who seems to have ended up as my ponysona, in fact).

Actually, it's not very good. He's supposed to be a stallion, but still has a mare's design, and his mane is longer in my mind - I also have to use this picture, as it sort of hides his cutie mark (because he either has a specific one, or he hasn't got one, depending on where in his storyline he is). It's a shame I couldn't get a more accurate look, as then it would look like he's in the movie :silly:
