Oooh, she's really pretty! Lovely color scheme, and I like the hoof/leg art! Very good job.
-
oooh cool

wow !

Oh! A Frith and Inle pony! I absolutely adore Watership Downs. I especially love the little rabbit on her leg and the sun and trees are very reminiscent of the movie's art style.

The tree makes the shape of a rabbit...it's not THAT obvious, i know

My teacher saw me reading it in class for a book report and thought it would be a "cute" Easter film to show. Boy was she wrong. :devious: :bunny:

Very cool!

Ooh this is very cool, Watership Down is probably my favourite book! I remember the film being rather traumatizing, though. :D
I love that you went with a bold colour scheme like this, rather than earthy tones like greens and browns. I did not expect that when opening the thread. Great paintwork, too!
-
I too love the colors chosen :)
-
Very nice! Great job capturing the movie's style.
One of my favourite books, read it more times than I can count (probably about a dozen)...my parents just picked up a copy.
-
Excellent custom.
I watched Watership Down when I was five years old and it didn't traumatise me, one bit.
I even watch this during Easter (Blu Ray version because it has the segull swearing, while on channel five it doesn't).
If you can't stand this film don't watch it.

I knew from a previous trade the colors Tsukikakushi liked (silver, purple, etc,), so I used them for the hair... For the rest I respected the movie style and colors

I don't remember Watership Down very well aside from the destruction of their home and that the animation was very pleasant to watch.
Wonderful job on that hair!! looks so good, flows together perfectly and has very nice style especially the ends.

Late to the party but really pretty custom :D Her colours are very simple and understated and I love what you've done with the silhouettes. The rabbit in the trees is very clever.
I love Watership Down. I don't understand why people find it traumatising. Aside from the fact Blackavar gets killed and that absolutely should not happen...it doesn't happen in the book.
But I also grew up with Farthing Wood and that had a pheasant seeing his wife cooked on a windowsill and baby mice impaled on a bush, so maybe I just expected nature to be vicious in cartoon form...

I watched Animals of Farthing Woods a while back on recommendation. I sort of see it as NatGeo with talking animals.

I really like this graphic feel on the painting. And you have made the hair look beautiful, it actually looks like natural hair :)

Her hair blend is gorgeous! :)
