Well, from at least my group on Facebook, G1 is better received than the other older gens. It may help I sometimes do G1 Movie Marathons of some of the really good stories.... But even beyond my group, they seem to have fully embraced Firefly and Surprise at least, and many seem to know of at least Tirak and Scorpan. Sea Ponies...seems it's pretty divided, the people who love them, and the people who don't know what do think of them XD I haven't seen any Sea pony hate, maybe people poking fun at 'Shoobedoo', but that's about it. Sea Pony Lyra seems popular enough!

Really? The majority of the Bronies I've heard from adore sea ponies. *shrug*
I'm not sure if I would want sea ponies or not. The only reason I liked them was for their kick-flank song. But hey, if they add sea ponies at some point (or if that fishy-horse is how sea ponies look in G4) then I can dig 'em.

Love the style, though. Spike is adorable, the eyes are great, and the colors are beautiful. Lots of people on some pony image site do not seem to like it, though.

Also, yeah, typical brony reaction to the art not being exactly like the show. Don't worry, they do this with fanart all the time, it's a thing they do. They'll still buy the stuff (and complain about it after the fact) but that's what Hasbro wants. Buying stuff.
Regardless, if I was a child, you know, what this entire line is catered to, I would adore that seapony. She is like a betta fish--beautiful fins, and very fantastical. I adore the style, and hope they actually show up in a line..that would be amazing. :)
The mermare looks lovely! I'm geeking over it because it has almost the exact body like the mermare I designed, assuming they have fish tails. I love aquatic ponies!I really love those designs. :lol:

I think, considering that the mane six don't look like they normally do on this cover, that it's right to assume that if a toy was made of this pony, or it appeared in the show, it wouldn't look exactly like this image :)Yeah, I thought those maybe are gills, but I'm more and more thinking those are necklaces.
That said, i love it :) I love how bright and stylized the cover is and am actually interested to read the story :D Plus i love the new pony logo with the scales and would totally buy the mane six with their little fins :)
Also, is it just me or are the ponies wearing bubble necklaces??? They don't have helmets like spike so i'm assuming that would allow them to breathe underwater :)
