I'm working on cleaning my newest pony purchases, and I've come across a bit of an... odd issue.
One of the ponies has what look like rust stains in her mane. But when I popped her head off, she's sparkly-clean inside, NO signs of rust whatsoever. I've heard the glue inside her head can yellow and stain the hair, but this staining is definitely orange rather than yellow.
I believe the pony's hair was originally pink; would that give yellowed-glue stains an orange tint?
Is there a way to de-orangify her hair?

You can try some rust remover. I hope that works!

Is it like the stains on this pony? --> http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php?topic=284078.0
Do you have a picture? :)

My camera's lousy with detail shots, so no picture, but it's kinda similar to that, Zennabug. Although in my case, the discoloration is actually ON the hair and I don't see anything at all on the plastic itself.

Weird! Have you scrubbed her hair yet?

I would try washing the hair with regular soap/shampoo and water and if it doesn't come out you could try a little bit of whiting toothpaste or rust remover.
