Title: The new DuckTales (woo-oo!)
Post by: LadyMoondancer on August 28, 2017, 10:05:33 AM
Has anyone else watched this yet?  The first two episodes are up on Youtube for free, link here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gP0Neif7Y4E )

I love it!   It has the adventurous spirit of the original, and this time Donald is part of the cast too.  Also LAUNCHPAD is there.  Gosh, I hope we see Darkwing Duck at some point.  Or Baloo. They name-dropped St. Canard and Cape Suzette (the Darkwing Duck and TaleSpin locations) so who knows.

Ihateyou. :P

That song easily gets stuck in my head..to the point where my fiancĂ© teases me about it.  Kiwi's hubby will too.

On that note, I might check it out <3

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm not surprised Launchpad is in it.  He was in the original series as well.  Crossovers with Darkwing and Talespin might be fun, though.

The first time I tried to watch the new Ducktales I couldn't get in to it, but I gave it another chance this weekend and watched until the end. :) The 2nd episode was more fun me.

Spoiler
I liked when Uncle Scrooge and Dewey were in the laser beams and Dewey's foot was setting the lasers off and Donald was below them covering the fire/lava so it wouldn't kill them. And when Glumgold came in and yelled "This isn't a bathroom!"

I like the new Webby but I have to get used to the art style.

I watched this only because I wanted to know if the hype was real
I was never a Ducktales fan as a child. There were Disney Afternoon reruns of it alongside Darkwing Duck and Gargoyles - guess what  kid me preferred to watch.

But I also watched some Ducktales and all I can say is: bless them for making Webby a kid protagonist instead of a tag-along. They even put in her old doll impaled on an arrow - the Webby is dead, long live the Webby!

(And now make a new Darkwing Duck, thanks)

Aw, y'all make me sad talking about old Webby that way.  I liked Webby's sweetness and innocence.  New Webby is gonna be hard for me to learn to like.

Oh, yes I LOVED it! I didn't think I would with the new artstyle and how lame kids cartoons are today but this was pure gold. The minute the original song came up I was hooked. So glad to see all the old friends and happy they have added Donald this time.

I was laughing so hard at Donald waiting for his interview.  His battle with the stapler . . . I know the feeling, Donald, I know the feeling.

I had a couple Disney comic books when I was a kid, the color palette and art style remind me of them.

I never watched the original Duck Tales, but I am well aware of how popular it was. I enjoyed the first episodes of the reboot, I had to force my partner to watch it with me because he's not the fondest of seeing his favourite childhood shows rebooted.

After we finished watching he showed me a little of the original cartoon, explaining how Scrooge McDuck was portrayed differently, and I honestly wasn't the fondest. I look forward to watching more of the new series. ^.^

I loved Ducktales as a kid! I wanted to watch the new one, but not sure where/how I can watch it?
