It Is Time To Pick The Top 4!
This a game with a point system! Anyone can enter and gaining points is super easy. The game is super close too! This is for any wing that I currently have in stock. International participants will have to pay shipping or I can ship to anywhere in the USA!

How to get points!
1. Post that you voted = 1 point
2. Post a non voting post = 5 point
3. Guess the wing that will get the most votes = 10
4. Guess the over all winner = 50 points this will be the highest voted wing of the last round. (Round F)

Aaah now I get it! :lol: This is Round E and in #4 we're making predictions for round F! For some reason I thought this was going to be the last round. :doh:

These are a lot fancier than the ones I've made, which are just cutouts from ridged-top plastic beverage bottles.

When I first started they were pretty basic and not as fancy. The more you do it the better you like it:) I remember when I started, I knew I couldn't afford real wings and some repos were beautiful but I couldn't afford...or rather gave a pony for the price. I forgot that along the way so from now on the price stays super low...nothing over $5.50.

I could probably be fancier with mine if I tried, but I haven't. Partly out of trying to keep to a show-esque look. Although I do plan to tint a pair different colors - one red, one blue - for Hollywood

$5.50 is a good price! Yours are way prettier than the original wings that came on the flutter ponies. I have been wanting to try to make some of my own just for kicks, but I don't know the right kind of plastic to use. I thought about using a heat gun to strategically melt/crinkle it in places, to try to mimic the bumpy texture of the originals, but not sure if it would work.

Trying to mimic the bumpy texture of the originals (in a kinda-sorta way) is why I use ridge-topped soda bottles as my source for the plastic. I got that tip from an MLP site... Not sure which one. Might have been here, might have been the Trading post, might have been somewhere else.
If I don't win, I think I'll straight-up order a pair.

I've only tried printed wings (for custom ponies) myself - CG13 asked to see them in a previous thread but I forgot so here they are :)

I used wire to attach them so they don't have tabs like the flutter wings. Both designs came from a doll customising website (Katherine Dewey) but the site seems to be gone now, I had it bookmarked. I printed them with my cheap and old HP deskjet on transparency designed for inkjet printing (or at least the second pair, I think for the first pony I had the wrong kind of transparency... not sure if I ended up printing two pairs and glueing them together? It kind of looks like that in the photos but I can't remember).

Yeah, I've managed to burn myself with my glue gun before as well...I do use the heat gun for work, so I'm a little more coordinated/experienced with that than I am the glue gun, thankfully!

Yeah the other day I was trying to set curls and I poured boiling water on my hand by accident :o By some miracle, I didn’t actually get a bad burn.

I've had some mishaps as well, although I tend more towards accidentally cutting my fingers than accidentally touching hot stuff.
...I can no longer voluntarily bend my left index finger all the way.
