Does anyone else's 35th Anniversary Moondancer have like, blended hair instead of a proper stripe like the other unicorns in her release? I have Twilight and Glory as well and they have great/perfect stripes, but my Moondancer's is not so nice. The colors are basically just blended together in her mane, and the stripe color is also blended into her tail a bit (though it is mostly the red color). Kind of hard to see what I mean with the tail in the pic, but here ya go anyway:

I am rather disappointed in her since she was one of the top two 35th anniversary ponies I wanted and I had to order her online and pick her up in the US when I was visiting family for Christmas. I wanted a really nice Moondancer since the originals are so hard to find in good condition (white with non-rubbed symbols). Her super white body and perfect symbol are spectacular, but the hair makes me sad. Is anyone else's like this, or is mine just flawed?

I've noticed it on my Twilight, but I haven't looked at the other ponies' manes as closely.

Its a bit of a bummer but not enough to put me off getting her gorgeous self. She was a beloved childhood pony so as long as her body n symbol are good I'm happy.

I definitely noticed. I wasn't sure if the red was blended and the stripe separate (like actually 3 hair sources) or if it was 2. However it is worth noting that I have encountered several Glory with stripes punched in the middle of the mane. i have yet to find a correct one. I also had a Sunbeam with same problem but I did find Sunbeam with a proper stripe. I am hoping the popularity leads to additional runs that might be better or more correct. I am still happy overall, but I wouldn't mind upgrading at least Glory.

Ok, thanks guys! So it seems it is indeed just a quality control issue sometimes with these girls. Just sad it was my Moondancer and not my Glory (whom I don't care as much about). All well! Maybe one day I'll run into a better one. :)

Here's a pic of my Moondancer. She also has the blended hair. I thought it was a design/style choice maybe so she wouldn't be confused with a real G1 Moondancer.

wow in the tail too, iv notice some online to be like that. its kind of cool, i like it but yeah i can see why you are upset. so funny it's in the tail too but someone might like to trade their good one for one with a OOAK factory mistake .

I will admit I didn't even look too hard or care- these look so much better than the last "re-release" anniversary ponies, I was just thrilled to have a white Moondancer again for my Moondancer herd :D

Mine have blended hairs, but the stripe is well done.
I thinks that they didn't had the right red hair color and did this to light it.

Wave 1 (Collector ponies) are out, they've started to hit the UK in full force in the last month or so. I know The Entertainer has them, and I've seen them in Forbidden Planet International as well; not sure about other shops (I think Toymaster has them?).
Wave 2 (Rainbow ponies) showed up briefly at one or two John Lewis shops in autumn and disappeared just as quickly, not sure when they'll show up again
Wave 3 (unicorns/pegasi) haven't shown up over here yet :)

Ah, ok! Thanks for the info everyone! I guess this is just how it is with these girls. She is still pretty darn gorgeous overall. :)
