My friend just popped into BABW and asked about the MLP plush, and they said they're coming August 1st! I'm so excited <3 Just wanted to pass on the good news :-)

I'm a little disappointed that they made a Spike instead of another one lf the mane 6, but I'm still excited for Twilight! Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie have been anxiously waiting for more friends. :)

Whoo! I'm glad it's only Twi and small Spike. I had been quite worried when I heard it was Twi and Fluttershy, as buying both at once would be expensive. Pinkie and Dash are still in stores here so I might hold off until September and ask for them for my birthday :D

I was looking on the Build A Bear UK website the other day and I got into a page i'd never seen before when i was searching for something, I think it was probably a behind the scenes pages as it had a lot of unreleased bears and clothes and stuff on it but I found pictures and prices for Spike and Twilight Sparkle, Twilight was listed as £19 and Spike was £8. I clicked on them but they just said not for sale and when I went to show my mum the page this morning as i had saved it the entire page was gone but hopefully this means we will get them soon as i really want Spike :biggrin:.

Others have asked, but I'd never seen any replies. I'll go there in a minute and ask though, because I'm getting anxious for an announcement myself Dx The date is approaching, and you'd think they'd have made it public by now.
The only other place where I saw an August 1st release date was a forum called "Bearville Insider" ( http://www.bearvilleinsider.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4111716 ), though there were other pony blogs that cited an August release date around the time when they were first found, so it's a little hopeful!
EDIT: I just got a reply from BABW, here's what they said:
we will release more details at a later date. Right now we can tell you that we do plan to have more from the My Little Pony collection late this summer. Thank you!
So it looks like the release date might be later than August 1st after all :\

Though- I think it's worth noting that someone from the UK replied to my wall post today to let me know that they'd received a leaflet from BABW, it states an August 1st release date for Spike and Twi.... the lady at our location gave that same date. I wonder if the folks at BAB's FB page aren't authorized to make confirmations on merch that hasn't been officially announced? I dunno, but I'm still preparing for August 1st to be safe ^^

The lady at my Build a Bear in the MOA was excited that I knew about Twilight coming on the 1st. They haven't advertised her yet at the store, but they know she is coming. I can't wait.

Thank you for posting this!!!!! I love her outfit. And her wings aren't pressed down so it seems that her dress has wing holes. I wish Spike was bigger so I can dress him too... but I can live with a small Spike.

Spike is a mini-plush, not a Smallfry. They tend to sell for $10 each. If you guys visited BABW for the Monsters U promotion, he will be similar in size to the mini Mike we sold.

Maybe a little larger. They range from 6" - 11" depending on the character. When I go back to work (on vacation for a week), I'll check and see if we have his size listed.

Well, I resisted the dresses for the previous releases but I have to have that crown for my TS when I get her! That was one of the things that I put over and over again when they had that survey a while back was that I really wanted all of my BABW ponies to have their Elements of Harmony.

I'm hoping the crown won't be too expensive, or sold with the dress. I didn't buy any clothes for Rainbow Dash so I don't plan to get Twi's. Now I just gotta hold on until September so I can ask for these for my birthday...

...unfortunately I was going to go buy Pinkie last night on a whim, and she was gone from the BABW website. I'm not a huge fan of Rainbow Dash, and I'll probably get her at some point, but I was really looking forward to getting Pinkie. I guess I waited too long.

That's tempting. Postage from here is pretty expensive, be it domestic or international, though, so it's more likely I'd make a loss. I'll wait until I see the price and crown in person before I make a decision, though :)

My nearest BAB had a load of both ponies left last time I went (last week) and both ponies are still available on the UK website. Might be best to try and check stores near you to see if they have any stock left. I'd offer to grab you an unstuffed one but my nearest BAB isn't very near at all ^^;

Just out of curiosity, I just went to look at sold auctions on ebay. I saw that Pinkie has been sold recently for anywhere between $20 to $40 both with and without the dress. I think you would have a good chance at getting her that way. Maybe even for cheaper than in the store. I didn't look at the shipping costs though.
(On a side note. I just love that Ebay's advanced search now has an option to limit searches to only items that actually sold. Makes looking for average prices much easier!)

BaB reps at the Pony Fair confirmed that Twilight Sparkle and Spike were coming this fall, and they strongly hinted that Fluttershy was also coming soon.

Edit: Nevermind. On the website it says that the plushes won't be shipped until August 1, so I'm assuming the release date will still be the same for stores. Boo, I was hoping they'd be released a few days early. xD

Shipping to Canada is sadly quite expensive. I bought Pinkie on the BAB website, and I think shipping was $26. That's what I get for not grabbing her in the store while I could!

I'm ashamed to say I only just now discovered these things. I was watching something I had recorded on the DVR a short while ago and I saw the commercial for Rainbow Dash and Pinkie. But I'm reading that they came out April 1st? Did they decide to bring them back?
I was really wanting to get Dash, but after seeing that Twilight...I don't know O.O

I didn't have time to read the whole thread if someone already said this... but my store told me that every store only got 25 Spikes each. So, if you want Spike I'd get him right away. They didn't know if they wild get more or not. They said they have tons of Twilight. Just a friendly heads up.

Shipping to Canada is sadly quite expensive. I bought Pinkie on the BAB website, and I think shipping was $26. That's what I get for not grabbing her in the store while I could!

I didn't have time to read the whole thread if someone already said this... but my store told me that every store only got 25 Spikes each. So, if you want Spike I'd get him right away. They didn't know if they wild get more or not. They said they have tons of Twilight. Just a friendly heads up.
I know the pony stuff is limited edition but that just sounds silly =/ I sure hope that's not true.
Edit: The website mentions that Spike is 25cm tall. It could be that someone at your store misheard? I really don't think they would make him that limited without making a fuss over it.
I'm ashamed to say I only just now discovered these things. I was watching something I had recorded on the DVR a short while ago and I saw the commercial for Rainbow Dash and Pinkie. But I'm reading that they came out April 1st? Did they decide to bring them back?
I was really wanting to get Dash, but after seeing that Twilight...I don't know O.O
My BAB still had Dash and Pinkie when I went in on Saturday, and the booklet I got in the post announcing Twi and Spike also had Rainbow Dash advertised. I've seen a scan of a US leaflet saying Pinkie and Dash are "back until stocks last". I have Rainbow and she's really soft and the perfect size for cuddling so I'd honestly recommend her.

I showed a pic of her to my mom and she was all "AWWW How cute!" So I put on my puppy face and said, "Can we swing by the mall while we're out today...since we're kinda going to be in that area anyway?"
They released her on the perfect day. Not only am I off from work, but today's pay day! So hopefully I'll come home with a Twilight! ^^

I hope they will be here in Germany for christmas(we got Pinkie and Rainbow Dash 3 or 4 weeks ago I think and it looks like Rainbow Dash is sold out(the BAB website shows only Pinkie to order online)

Pretty much this but with EG Rarity instead. She's the only one I really want at this point.
...probably will get Fluttershy and RD soon, but no rush yet, but they both seem to be easier to find. Cost I bet.
The little girl in front of me also went for both Twilight and Spike and the lady made her do all this heart starting activities. Not for me, but it's nice that the kids can have fun.
Also the kid behind me was getting a Spongebob to go with his Patrick.
I like it when kids get friends for their toys. It's cute:3

Well, I'm happy to say that I'm a proud owner of a Twilight AND Spike. I'm afraid I didn't do the whole stuffing ritual, simply because it's kind of embarrassing. I've only been to BABW one other time, and that was when I was sixteen, and I DID do all that. It felt so awkward. So I managed to nap a Twilight with her crown and dress and just get out of there quick. I would have loved to get her shoes but it would have jacked the price up way too much.
Oddly enough, I was expecting there to be a big crowd, but it was practically empty. There was one little girl who walked in right after me who went straight for the ponies. Mom and I had to rush out of there real quick because a storm was brewing outside. We wanted to stay behind and look around and eat some lunch there but it wasn't happening :( We're both off this Monday, so we're going to try and go back out there and actually enjoy ourselves. I'm seriously thinking about snatching up Rainbow Dash if they still have her. I'll just buy her without the clothes to save on the cost. I really hope they don't all get snatched up over the weekend :( I don't remember seeing any Pinkie Pies.

Those of you more up on FiM probably already know this, but plush Twilight Sparkle is now available at Build a Bear, and they have a small plush Spike available as well!
I know because yesterday my hubby bought me Rainbow Dash for our anniversary :lovey: Couldn't resist uploading a pic! One thing I really love is that they have actual hair, just like the plushies from when I was kid.
FYI: The BaB lady said all the Pinkie Pie stuff is sold out (even online) and that the Rainbow Dash items were headed that way also. I bought Dash for my daughter and sprung for the sound effect- it actually plays the whole FiM intro song in pretty high quality.

She was specific about the number shipped to each store initially and offered to hold one for me because I can't come in until tomorrow. She said she was not told if they get more out not. He is bigger than the small fry for sure though. I agree that if he was LE that they would probably make a bigger deal of it. Although, the house for sponge bob was sold out fast in many stores the first week and they didn't make a thing of it as far as I know. At least this is what I've been told. It's all just speculation. I am no authority :))

They look even better in person. ^.^ I might trim Twi's bangs a little, just so they're not hanging in her eyes. The coronation dress is amazing...I'm very impressed! And SPIKE! :squee: Spike is irresistibly adorable.
At some point I'm going to add a bodice to the cape, make some shoes, and attach a wire to the inside of the crown so it can sit without being hooked around her ears. It'll be sooo awesome! /)^3^(\

I just got mine. It was fun to pick sounds because they had Twilight talking now, and they had one for Rainbow dash that they didn't have when I got her last time! I put the my little pony song in and two hearts since she travels through time....

got mine today, it was so awesome! since the party was organised by someone working in the mall, he got other stores to tell people about it and even got some prizes donated! so I not only got spike and Princess Twilight Sparkle, I also got an equestria girls twilight as a prize!

I may have to get 2 Twilights. Stuff one and get the dress for her. The other may have to come home with me unstuffed so I can clip her wings, stitch her up, and get her stuffed as just a unicorn. Of course I will get Spike!!!
Oh, I didn't think of that, buying one unstuffed, removing the wings and stitching the holes shut, then take them to a physical store to finish stuffing them. LOL, I wonder what the BABW employees would think of that.... XD
I'm pretty close with the manager and she said she cannot wait until I bring my de-winged Twilight back in to get stuffed. It is still technically a BAB product and when I purchased it, the stuffing is included in the price.

Oooh that's interesting to know :o I added a little more fluff to my Dash's butt and tightened up her stitches myself but it's great to know they'll sort that kind of stuff out even after you've taken them home :D
I was kinda hoping Twiley's sound might be "Dear Princess Celestia, today I learned a new lesson about the magic of friendship" or something :( I'd be a lil too worried about accidentally setting it off to get one, though, I think xD

Also, my BAB manager (who is a Fluttershy fan) says Fluttershy will be released in November! (I wonder if she'll be out for Black Friday :yikes:)

What BAB stores did you all go to where they had the voice sounds? I called mine just to make sure before I took my ponies back in to get them, and they said they didn't have them and to their knowledge sounds for the ponies other than the theme song didn't exist. I guess if they're new maybe they haven't gotten them yet. I'll call back another time I guess.

Please post pictures of the finished, altered Twilight Sparkle when you're done. I'm considering doing this myself, but I want to see what it looks like finished before I order and butcher another pony (as I have limited sewing skills).

I was talking with the manager at my BAB and he was saying that he thought that the mall of America store (in our district) would be the first to have the individual ponies sounds. He was not sure all the stores world get them but promised he could order them in when they are released. He also assured me that I could bring my son's Twilight in and get her song pulled and get the sound put in. So that's good news to me! :)
