Title: Cutie Mark Crew: addictive as heck
Post by: LadyMoondancer on October 05, 2018, 01:20:58 PM: I've been visiting Target a lot trying to find the retro Unicorn / Pegasus line (no luck yet) and every time . . . I buy a Cutie Mark Crew blind bag. Is anyone else collecting these? Who's your favorite?

Applejack in a piece of pie is my fave so far.

Post by: Taffeta on October 05, 2018, 02:40:21 PM: I only ever wanted one, Sunset Shimmer. When I got her (from uk ebay), she came along with a friend, the muffin pony. I have to admit that she's pretty cute too, so the 2 of them sit on my shelf looking impossibly innocent. But I am not drawn to buy any of the others. There are too many mane 6 in the collection for me to want to chance it. If they bring more Sunset Shimmers out in later lines, maybe...but otherwise I'm happy with the 2 I have :)

It would be a trouble to me to collect them all I think. :lol: But that said I traded for a Sci Twi and a seapony Twilight Sparkle at a pony meetup last weekend.

I haven't gotten all of them yet but I've bought quite a few and only gotten a few doubles so far so I'll probably keep trying to track down the rest of them. I figure if I get doubles I might try to customize some to see how doable it is.

Yes, they all come with stands.

Thanks. :) I like the stands but can’t seem to fit Shining Armor in the donut with the stand attached. I also didn’t realize the mini poster reveals who’s inside. I liked at the poster and play scene before I opened the mystery bag.

If I end up with extras I’d be happy to trade. :)

I've customized the few duplicates we've gotten between the two of us. They're fun to repaint! I'm also mega excited for the Luna!

They should do more backgrounders in this line. They are blind, so people will put money into it regardless. Perfect place to go non-M6.

I agree they should have a wider range of characters, but having so many sea ponies does make me forgiving of the Mane Six. I don't like EQG and I don't keep any of those.

I've had pretty good luck getting a wide selection of characters. I buy a new CMCrew every time I go to Target and see that they still haven't stocked the retro unicorns / pegasi. Like a consolation prize, LOL.

The muffin pony I have doesn't have a stand. But she can stand on her own outside of her...erm...well, looks rather like it's a muffin. Coincidentally. I had wondered what the funny pink thing Sunset Shimmer had was, though...

As you can see my Sunset shimmer traded her pizza for a bushi kabuto...

When I've bought mine, I've noticed that each "chute" has all the same style of display box. The last time I bought 4 out of the farthest right chute. They contained EQ Pinkie, EQ Twilight, EQ AJ and Pony Cadence. I think MLP Merch has a list of what box style has which pony so maybe you can use that to find the ones you're looking for since they don't have ID numbers like the blind bags.

Yup! But my case was missing two. I’ve found Fluttershy wth the ice cream sandwich, but I still don’t have muffin pony. I want my bubbles, and she’s being elusive! :(

They had Party Performers from series 2 at Target. But that was the only series 2 stuff I've seen so far. I got a pamphlet in the pack that shows all the series 2 blind box characters.

extras of blind bags that I have besides the mane 6 ones (which are already spoken for):

DJ Pon-3, Muffins, Cadance, and Spike.

I'm willing to sell $ or trade them with someone here if you're interested. Of course, I mentioned I have all the blind bags so if you offer to trade it'd have to be the Rarity seapony that came in a series 1 Fin-tastic Field Trip 5-pack, the Princess Celestia that came in Star Students series 5-pack, or Photo Finish (Equestria Girls) from the Party Style series 2 5-pack.

Best of luck to everyone still hunting blind bags. I rest now until series 2

I'd like to get Muffins and all of the Fluttershy figures eventually.

I lucked out with the series one bling bags-- they had just put out the box at Target and I scooped it up and bought the whole thing at once. It was nice not having to track them all down. I'm sure that won't happen with the next series!

What I like about these is they sort of come with their own display if you can find the space to put them somewhere. You can stack up to, like, maybe 4-6 of their capsules on top of each other, although you may need to tape the doors shut. Mine keep opening up, poo.
I do wish that the 5-packs came with displays too, I don't really want to make them a riser.
