Hmm... an eating pony does sound interesting. Not something I’d immediately jump up for. Sort of brings back flashbacks of those cabbage patch kids that could eat and little girls got their hair stuck in the mouths.
A gimmick I’d want... I’d want galaxy ponies to actually be a thing made by hasbro. The space need needs more space ponies! They’d be sparkly and galaxy and cool and have a little telescope or a rocket accessory. Perhaps even a remote control space ship to go along with it. Oh I want it!

Mattel did that. Check out the Moxie Girlz Poopsy Pets for a unicirn that poops rainbow glitter.

Something I want to see is Hasbro do something more with the crystal ponies than another set of the Mane 6. Create some characters who are actual denizens of the Crystal Empire.
I'm all for retro sets as well. You do it for the Transformers, Hasbro.

Gimmicks... retro sets on the G4 ponies. So softs, twinkle eyes, precious pockets, flutters, sparkle ponies, sunshine ponies, etc.
I think thet'd be a really cool way to shout out to vintage collectors while appealing to the current demographic as well.

More G1 ponies in G4 form. I would love a Cotton Candy and Bow Tie G4. Oh and Gingerbread and Whizzer, coplete with Twinkle Eyes :D

Merry-Go-Round G4s would be awesome! I don't have any Merry-Go-Round ponies yet, but I would love too. What a cute gimmick they have!
We did kinda have color changing hair come back with some McDonald's ponies, but it would be cool to have normal ponies with it again.

Barely. Ours don't even work in the sun and that was when they were fresh outta the Happy Meal box.

more baby ponies! we only have the cmc as brushables right now iirc, i'd love to see more variety.
twinkle eye would also be great, seems like it would still look nice even with the size difference between g1 and g4.
also, roller skate ponies? i like the g1s a whole lot, and theyd be so cute!

The HQG1 project currently has two retro-moulded blank ponies for customising purposes available (so sorry if you know about them already, I just feel the need to spread the word, haha :blush:)
As for gimmicks I'd want? You know those projectors that project stars onto your bedroom ceiling at night? A pony about the size of a Secret Surprise one that does just that, except projecting their cutie marks... Kinda like a TAF but more technology, haha :P

There are more fillies beyond them (Star Dreams, Silver Spoon, Diamond Tiara, Twist-a-Loo, and Twirly Treats), but I would like to see even more! Some colts would be cool, too.

I'd say yes to all of these.
For the carousel thing, I have actually even bought a vintage matchbox carousel for the purposes of customizing G4s to go on it. Now if only I could actually get around to doing it!

I agree with all the retro ideas! G1s as G4s, G4 as G1s, and all the ideas to have ponies from the old sets again (TE, TAF, etc).
But I would be most happy if the gimmick was anything other than, let's just keep releasing the same ponies over and over again. :P

I agree! Wouldn't it be frustrating if they decided to do all these gimmicks but only ever did them with the mane6/princesses?

So soft rainbow ponies!!!
Reissue Glory, Moondancer, Twilight, Moonstone, Windy and Sunbeam in different unicorn molds (Buttons or Gusty mold). I love my old guys, but they sure got the ugly molds.
More baby unicorn and baby Pegasus g1 molds. Definitely need more variety there.

That's why I like the HQG1C project (Genie, et al.). :)
I would like to see ponies with crystals (TE, princess ponies, etc.; my kids call the G3 ones "gem butts").

srsly tho, g4 remakes of g1, especially the scented ponies. That would be so fab.
