As some preliminary data, please select the age range and gender that you fall under. Or just choose not to say. In approximately 15 days, the next poll, collection and country specifics,will be made public. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to take this survey. The data will be compared for many years to come.

Yeah. There's nothing quite as satisfying as a bunch of data coming together into a beautiful line. And next year I'll have even more data!

I'm old enough that I am wary of polls asking for personal real life data, as anyone can get access to this forum and see the answers which we give. So I won't be answering the poll, and you can put me down as a conscientious
grump objector to unnecessary data collection.

You know, that's a fair point. What's the purpose of this, anyway? Just a survey for curiosity's sake, a project with some further purpose, something else..? I'm curious :)

You need not to worry. It's not for anything nefarious. I have one goal: to track the population on this site. By collecting this data, we could figure out who is your average pony collector, what gens are most popular and in future years, look at the potential trends of traffic on this site and how well the herd is faring. I understand your concern. But I'm confident that the folks who are in charge of keeping this website safe would let something bad happen. And all this data is sent to me anonymously through the poll, so even I don't know who everyone is. The comments are just telling me because...I guess they can?
