Aww- that is a story with a happy ending  I rescue toys whenever I can, and I’m happy to hear Sugar Sweet have been saved!
BTW, I really, really don’t like that kid from Toy Story. I seriously want to yell at him everytime I watch that movie
Well done for the G! pony rescue, Taffetta! :thumb:
I love stories like this - it's one thing finding an ok condition pony, but finding one that needs just that extra bit of tlc to bring it back to life is something special; it kind of makes the day-out at the boot-sale a success as it means it gives you a fun project to do when you get home!

This is true.
I also noticed that since I brought her home, I am starting to smell her original scent as well.

I know, he annoys me too. I mean, yes, kids are meant to play with toys and that leads to mess and damage, but there's also wilful damage which is different. Someone spent money on that, and taking care of one's possessions is an important skill as well. And I have never seen G4 ponies at this carboot as wrecked as those. When I first saw Sugar Sweet I was actually a bit surprised to find she had all her hair. Maybe she wasn't as popular a toy. And I only found her because there was an articulated Rarity doll who, from the back, looked fine...and from the front was completely painted yellow...and in moving her, I found Sugar.

More like slightly sickly sweet scented plastic interspersed with vinyl and nylon hair smell? But it's not intrusive so I'll take it.

 anything is better than "musty" :P

Not sure about that. Chain Smoker and Car Oil are among my less preferred pony scents. And fortunately I have never encountered the dreaded and infamous Cat Pee that others here have found. Musty in comparison is pretty much a walk in the park!
I am downloading pictures from my camera now, and will be adding some more pictures of Sugar in her transformation...
