I made an eBay account a while back with the sole intent of purchasing one item. I ended up loosing the item and the others I bid on, so I have no feedback. But I'd like to sell some handmade FiM figures and I imagine eBay would get me the most money. I desperately need money to even a little bit of extra from eBay would be a HUGE help, even if its just an extra dollar or two. This means I can't buy items to get at least a little feedback either.
Would having zero feedback impact me so negatively I shouldn't even bother trying to sell things there? I don't have any plans to use eBay for more than handmade FiM stuff, and I don't know how long I plan to even make FiM stuff to list (it will depend on how it sells).
If it helps, this (http://shortaxel.deviantart.com/art/my-sculpey-applejack-246387882) is the item I'm planning to list. Her starting bid would probably be $2.
(Also as a side note I know it says in her description she was for a gift exchange, but my partner was international and gave me an incomplete/wrong address so she was returned. My partner never answered my multiple messages about it so I've decided its time to find her a home.)
And if I do end up listing her, what should be in the description? Obviously some photos, but what kind of info should be included? I don't even look at eBay so I have no idea what I should include.
Thanks for the advice guys. :) I think I won't even bother with eBay after all, lol. I've never heard good things about it and it just sounds like a big headache even if I don't need the money immediately (I need to save up so I can move for my health and sanity XP). I'll probably just shove Applejack along in a package if I get any commissions or something if she doesn't sell elsewhere.
I looked into Etsy before but I don't have money to pay listing fees or a credit card. Not sure if the rules have changed but that's what was required when I looked into signing up.
