I'm prepping a bait Skywishes (had gross sticky and stained hair, and a big orange stain on her body) for customizing (I've never customized before, so this is my first attempt!), and I've ran into a bit of an issue.
I've successfully removed her head (it was a bit of a pain, man G3 glue is strong!) and her tail. I cut down her mane so that I could then pull it out from the inside with tweezers and a pliers. I was able to get a little bit off, the bottom pink row, but I'm struggling with the rest. The angle of the diva pose head makes it difficult to see where the rest of the mane is when looking at the inside of the head, and therefore it's tough to get the tweezers or pliers where they need to be. Heating it up with a blow dryer wasn't much help either, it was good for the row that I was able to remove, but not so much the rest of it, as the ears don't really get soft.
Can anyone with diva pose customizing experience offer any advise on how to get the rest of the mane out?

You've just gotta dig up in there. I recommend hemostats or other longer pliers to get the best reach.

This! I also have a nice pair of long needle nose pliers that are curved at end. I think I paid less than $10 for them and I have used them for years. Good luck! :)

It helps if you lay a finger across the hair plugs so you can kinda feel where the tip of your tweezers/pliers actually are.

Also, giving a pony head a quick soak in hot water will soften both the plastic and the glue. I usually only do this for really tough cases though.

I use a metal dental pick, like those used by actual dentists, not the plastic ones you can find in say a Target. I ordered mine from Amazon for less than $10 (think it was actually only $5??). I tried the plastic ones, but they always broke on me. It hadn't let me down so far, even made getting hair out of the really big G4zilla heads easy. :)
